Potter, Nuno, Galtier, Gallardo, Amorim, Kovac, Favre, Fonseca, Conceicao and about 100 others.

If you want our next manager to be a dinosaur and like tedious 19th century football, here is Steve Bruce. Has achieved exactly the same with Newcastle as FSW, didn't fail in China, hasn't been unemployed for a long time, is not detested by majority of Everton fans, is not that fat, is not a kopite knobhead and looks a decent chap.

You are not telling me Everton can't find a manager of Steve Bruce quality?

Exactly...

"Theres only a handful of managers in world football".

Shaking my head at these posts.

I understand the professionalism argument and see what you are saying but calling him a slob who has let himself go is a bit ott. The Fat Spanish Waiter stuff is a chant a silly one but it's a chant, chants are often brutal and have a lot of sarcasm, lots of chants are far more offensive, its not a public statement. Look I don't even like the man or want him at the club but I just don't see how he looks as a reason to belittle him.
It's shorthand for displeasure. You are right that it is childish and has no real meaning but calling him FSW is a very quick way of demonstrating how you feel about the appointment (or how someone will feel when he's manager), it's the same thing when someone calls him "Rafael", that shows that the individual is broadly positive about him. You could argue that "Benitez" is better shorthand but it is more neutral than negative so I understand people calling him FSW who don't really care about him being overweight, I think it is unlikely that too many people's mental health is going to suffer as a consequence.

Potter = finished 16th in the table and hasnt won a carrot of note

Nuno = the exact same dour football as Rafael and has not won a carrot

Galtier = only managed in France

Gallardo = happy in S.America

Amorim = massive risk could work or see us relegated

Kovac = good manager agreed

Favre = 63 and won just 1 trophy - just got cold feet and left Palace hanging - why some want that kind of flimsy mentality I'll never know

Fonesca = would see us getting dicked 5-2 at Anfield like Silva as the bloke cant defend.

Conceicao = whats he done outside of Portugal which is a farmers league - big risk.

Most of those are massive risks at a time the club dont want to take risks and want some stability whilst BMD is being built.

Well done the lads who put that banner outside his house.

Whoever is quick to condemn them are hypocrites, you will never curry favour with the kopites, no matter what you concede, no matter what you pretend is 'crossing a line'.

Have some respect and back your own, there are plenty of lads in Walton who love everton, there are lads who love this club and would go to prison for it.

I bet any money if the boys who did that banner had any input in the club, Iwobi wouldn't be here and we wouldn't of gone nearly 30 years without a cup.

The anger should be put against the board. If you want to pretend you are a superfan by arguing with other blues, that toxic mix could take us down eventually.
You think condemning unsolicited threats is trying to curry favour with kopites? 'With Everton or the RS'? is that the play here? People who would go to prison for the club aren't great fans, they are tapped in the head. I have plenty of redshite mates, as well as toffees, that wouldn't hang a banner like that, would call out other RS or toffees who did, and I feel more represented as a person by those people than any scumbags that would do it, no matter what flag they fly. All because he called Everton a 'small club', which we are, if we tolerate that kind of scumbaggery. Benitez isn't giving himself the job and yet the mutant crowd who think they are 'real fans' are targeting his home. There are gobshite reds in meltdown too because of the appointment and many others wishing him well. I'll never be as shallow to support scumbags doing horrible acts just because they support the same team as me. To suggest it is to be a slave to brain dead tribalism. But you congratulated the scumbags so I guess you are one of them. 'Prison' lol What a muppet

And stability is employing a bloke 10 years past his prime who got relegated with his last premier league club, struggled in a tin pot league and loads of our fans hate?

This is why when you take emotional pain out of the equation, you can understand Rafael being approached

Apparently the solbbering morons who put that sign up threatening Benitez family saying they know where he lives left the banner at the wrong house! Kin' hell, if brains where dynimate those idiots wouldn't have enough power to blow their own nose!

How do we know we had a choice. Everyone else may have turned us down.

what every manager in the world ? So you think Everton who paid ancelotti a kings ransom couldn’t recruit a single manager except one who splits the fanbase ? So it’s not like he’s our choice he’s literally the only available option in world football , crikey things are bad
