Here’s an idea. How about we keep the ball when we kick off instead of launching it straight into touch every game.

Reminds me of a general melchitt quote in blackadder “doing precisely what we’ve done for the last 17 times is the last thing they will be expecting us to do this time “
Utterly insane tactic and makes us a laughing stock

Simply trying hard seems to be enough to beat us at Goodison this season.

No one will convince me that effort is not a huge part of our problems this year. I watch us every week but I watch a lot of other English football. The lack of intensity and aggression in our squad is as poor as you'll see.

We don't win second balls, we get ran past easily in midfield. We don't sprint forward with the ball. We never see a midfielder or full back run beyond the frontline, we never see us knocking opponents off the ball, we never see us winning the ball high to sustain attacks.

People say football is about a lot more than effort, and they'd be right. But when the effort is not there, none of those other things matter. This squad make me embarrased and not want to watch us play. There are very few things to like about them, and they will make an awful lot of blues lose interest in football. If they don't care, then why should anyone else care. They will wake up this morning and get on with things because they don't understand what is expected.

I would suggest that the only conclusion you can draw from that undie-skid of a performance is that a big bunch of those players know they will not be there to enjoy a European tour next season, if they had made it.

House needs clearing top to bottom (players) and get some in that want to win. Bloody pathetic the lot of them.

1st time I've actually started losing faith in CA, performances have been awful for too long, players lack any fight but tactics were awful yesterday, starting with 3 at the back and nobody wanting the ball in midfield. not getting forward with any urgency, just waiting for them to get 11 behind the ball then sideways and backwards passing. this can't all be blamed on the players surely. Digne has gone from one of the best attacking left backs to one of the worst. I'm not watching them again this season, it's not fair on my family.

We have been linked with all these top so called players, if we was in Europe we would of had a chance of signing them, the only way players are coming is big wages now. It’s like employing your friend and he takes your shifts
If my job was like football, I'd gladly allow my mate to take my shifts while I happily take a wage for nothing.

When any of the back 4 receives a ball they pass across the field to each other multiple times. When the opposition discovers they’re not actually going to pass it forward they press them forcing it back to the keeper who launches it in the general direction of the midfield where possession is lost. Rinse and repeat.

I don't like thinking like this but, with City on the final day, we will likely finish the season with a negative goal difference.
