New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

The most laudable suggestion to me is to add a station in between Sandhills and Moorefields.

I’ve seen people mention Sandhills to BMD is the same as Kirkdale to Goodison, which shouldn’t be a factor at all, goodison and the pit are not near a station which always bothered me. Our new home is about to go under incredible regeneration and the council infesting circle 1mil to put a station near by would be such a worthy investment, not just for the club but also the other projects that are going to start popping up.

The reality is they’re going to implement transport hubs to ensure 52k people can get there and back so don’t think we be stressing about that.

On a separate note, how has the bramley Moore pub been able to survive all these years? an independent boozer with no near residential areas baffles me.

I normally get the train from Kirkdale to Maghull North after a game ,both platforms are absolutely rammed .The service is every 15 mins but 30 mins on Sundays . Its not always possible to get on the first train due to numbers. Imagine the huge numbers that will be waiting at Sandhills ,its obviously going to be quicker to walk into town and those going North will face a long wait. Do Merseyrail have the capacity to put on extra trains or even fit them into the timetable ?
Last time we were at Wembley I noticed trains were every 3 to 5 minutes and we got away from Wembley Park tube in no time. This is going to be a headache for Merseyrail . Do they have the capacity to put on extra trains or even fit them into the timetable ?
On the subject of a new station Maghull North cost £10m a few years ago and was relatively easy to build in a cutting. The line through Vauxhall is elevated and would present construction problems even if land could be found.

Will be interesting to see if the club offer any dedicated parking at BMD for out of town Supporter Club mini buses, similar to how they do on Priory Road at Goodison.

Currently we either park there, or a bit further out off Utting Ave. Looking at the map, I’m guessing all the potential on road parking in and around the residential areas in Vauxhall will be “non-Matchday parking” restricted once the ground is completed?

In the planning application there were plans of the area showing match day road closures , parking and access for buses and taxis etc. This will be on the LCC website if you can be bothered wading through all the guff !

Sounds idyllic..... but it's a good half an hours walk from Derby Sqr. No big deal if you're fit and healthy. Perhaps less so if not, or if you have a couple of kids in tow, or it's pouring down.
I'm not young any more but I'd be quite prepared to walk a mile or so To the game, with a beer or something in the way.
But, especially after an 8.00 ko, people will maybe be a bit pressed for time and want to get away quicker

That pub where Billy and Wally was filmed was just down the road, is that still there, was it still open before lockdown, went there but years and years back.

Kirkby are next in line for a new station at Headbolt Lane and then Skem after that. These trains will have to be frequent on match days because that line is going to be popular. As it stands it will be anyway.
