Everton Summer transfers 2021

I mean if you’re Aarons, and you know Godfrey and have see his development under Ancelotti, Everton has to be an exciting opportunity.

Not sure how we’re competing with Bayern though, but would Aarons get a game ahead of Pavard?
It depends how he wants to develop himself as a fullback, he could go to Bayern, who will dominate most games in the Bundesliga, and pretty much spend most games playing as a winger when he gets his opportunities.

Or he could come and play for the Walton Globetrotters under Carlo Ancelotti, be pretty much guaranteed first choice and really develop his all round game.

He might just want the trophies though.

Max Aarons isn’t one that looks good stats wise but when watching him you can see he has potential.

It would be an expensive one I’m sure, but there’s a lot of upside.

He’s fast, has quick feet, can beat a man, can tackle, and is strong on the ball considering he’s not a big player. A true modern full back.

Havent watched the boy play, but I have read some great stuff about him.

Hes a name that is linked to some really good clubs and suspect it will be a lengthy and no doubt very expensive battle.

I would like to think hell see Godfrey developing and getting rave reviews, working under one of the best defensive coaches of the last 25 years and develop.

Aarons is fantastic, he’d be a fantastic asset to our Defense and I said a few pages back, would easily put our defensive line as one of the top ones in the country.

can’t see why United would be interested, given Wan-Bissaka does a decent job.

Very strange that Bayern with Pavard and United with AWB are interested, you would hope that put us ahead, but neither club are to be trifled with regarding transfers.

I can't see anything in the United speculation. What would be the point? They signed Wan-Bissaka for £50m last season, and by all accounts hes done an fine, if not understated job. They've got to focus elsewhere, you'd think?

Bayern would obviously be the main threat. Alaba went and Upermercano came in. Davies plays on the otherside, so no chance of a switch there, but plenty of reason for Aarons to aspire, go to one of the biggest clubs, win the biggest prizes and develop like Davies.

Sané and Coman are on the wings, it just seems bizarre the link, although there definitely is interest.

Hopefully Ancelotti pull works for us here.

We might just be the best option for him...
We can afford the fee (if he stays and we're successful it'll be peanuts over the time he's here)
We pay good wages....
We can offer him a very good chance of regular first team football..
Exposure in the most watched league in the world....
Plus if he does well and we don't we have a history of securing good moves for talented players

I’ve seen Barcelona, Man Utd, Bayern and more all heavily linked to him. If it’s one we win, we could have a very good back 4 coming together.

Aarons will cost a good chunk thinking 30m at least, yes we have the money but unless Norwich promised to let him go if they got promoted then i don't see the logic for them to sell??

And for what I've seen not sure he's worth that money to be honest. That's more than what Godfrey cost.

Just think it would be v difficult to prise him away if they get promoted. Still has 3 years on his current deal and can't imagine they'll be in a hurry to sell their best players if/when they come back up.

The young English right backs are an interesting mix:

Wan Bissaka: Great defensively but not ideal attacking

James: Seems to have lapses of concentration

Lamptey: Very small

TAA: Cant defend

Aarons seems to be able to dribble, quick acceleration, good crossing ability and can pick a pass...seems ok defensively as well.

Im usually a bit 'picky' on fees, but if hes already mates with Godfrey and can add alot of pace to our defence then i think he could be a game changer...

I hope we seal the deal...

FFS, now we saying Keane smells???

I give up................................................

Anyway, we can improve on the majority of our squad, so if we can sell anybody for a decent fee and replace them and hopefully improve other positions I'm all for it.

The problem is, Keane is homegrown and hes worth more to us than some FOREN fella from another league, which would no doubt be reflected in his price.

Ive got no issue with moving Keane, Mina or as I say a lot of our players on, but I always feel you should improve the worst areas of a squad, if possible and I honestly see no point in changing any of our CBs who have all shown this season that they are very good players.

But to say sell Keane cos he doesn't fit into some weird posters idea of how he wants us to set up a defence, nar.

With every new player there's a risk, especially when you buy them from Pub Leagues like DAS SPL, La Jarga or Serie LOL.
He smells like someone who fears the crowd... and bergamot

FWIW I think I’d be open to selling him (tbf there are only about 4 players I wouldn’t sell under any circumstances right now) because we have 3 CB’s under 24 who look like they could be boss, I think CB is the one position we could lose a player and use the money to improve other areas of the pitch (like TB, for example) & I have fears about his fragile morale. I don’t think it’s coincidental he’s been good since we’ve had no crowds.

Surely though it is an issue if the "upside" isn't making its way into the numbers at all

For me, to get the most out of Tosun, in the Prem, you have to play a certain way. He needs balls into the box, he is no good with through balls or playing it to feet 20 yards out. But whip crosses into the box and he will get goals.
He is an allardyce forward, play the percentages, get crosses in. That's why he signed Tosun and Walcott. It worked at times.
I hope Tosun scores lots on loan and a few teams want to buy him
`You have to sell him to a direct rival
