In our case, we have (a) a female CEO and (b) a CEO with a penchant for communications. (a) will of its nature attract profile by the very fact of it being unusual and (b) is being done by choice by the club. We have a CEO who for their own reasons, feel it necessary to send regular emails and updates to stakeholders on all manner of issues. IMO, we should a comms team / director managing that.
The current set up is indicative of someone who is perhaps too hands on. And coming from a charity and non-football background, that benevolent mindset is hardly likely to instill a competitive mindset amongst the staff be they commercial, admin or football operations. As an earlier poster noted, culture starts at the top and permeates. I have no doubt our CEO's heart is in the right place but perhaps that right place is really EITC. And he need a hard nosed results oriented driven ba$tard in to hold people accountable.
