So the players were told to give the ball away continually and let Fulham have the freedom of the park by Ancelotti?

Explains a lot.

It goes without saying. The players were crap.

But Carlo set that team out.

Fulham are a powerful, quick, pressing side. They have been playing well without the luck - they'd started to look leggy but had had eight days off.

Carlo chose a five-man midfield with no pace, no energy apart from Docuoure, who 4 days ago had done 120 mins at full pelt.

We had no pace up top and James and Gylfi playing in the same position.

Yes, it's on him.

Just why do we play backwards ? Simple question. When we attack teams we look good. Fed up.

Backwards and sideways.

It doesn’t help that the opposition get in our faces and close us down quickly but I’m sorry but this is something that should be worked on in training, we should be able to adjust and play around this to make it work. That was just pathetic we didn’t have a clue what to do at all. It was the same against Newcastle. Nothing has been learned and nothing has been worked on. It’s not acceptable.

If you were to pick a combined 11 from tonight's game there's not one of our players get onto it, normally when you get beat there might be 1 or 2 that you could say he did well but had no help.. not tonight, not a single one of them can even say they played bad, it was worse than bad, to a man every one of them was horr

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why this team will deceive and flatter its way to 9th place. They'll give us the odd impressive, hope-inspiring win here and there, but this lot will achieve nothing. When push comes to shove, they fall over. Thanks to tonight and the recent failure to turn up against Newcastle, we could win the next two against City and Liverpool and still only be par for the course of where we would have expected to be from those four games. If this is progress, it's very slow.
Top 10 is progress, better than last season and not far off where our squad is at. 3 decent additions in the summer and we may have the 7th best squad.

backwards side ways, hoof it, lose it, concede chance, get ball, backwards and sideways.... repeat

If Tosun wasnt good enough to be the back up for Calvert Lewin and we waited for a good enough replacement in King, how isnt he put into the team when we dont have a centre forward.

Anyone can predict that the right side will always be targeted with or without james down there but to play so narrow today just allowed them a free hit constantly. Holgates the biggest liability we have had in a while at the back, he somewhat thinks hes better than he is because he played well a few times last season. He isnt good enough to replace coleman, and coleman is just a sitting target for teams.

Gonna have to change the system at home for the rest of the season to sure it up and earn the points required for Europe.

To be fair, I could have taken two defeats against City and RS if we had taken 3 points tonight.

Now it's likely to be 0 in 9.
This is what I was saying the other day. Must get 3 points against Fulham as the Citeh and RS games are not guaranteed 3 points. I wanted our strongest team out tonight yet he puts Godfrey and Holgate as CBs and Coleman back. Godfrey and Holgate have not got the passing abilities of Keane or Mina and cannot carry the ball forward like them either. This is why all the sideways passing and back passing from them never got us on the front foot at all. We changed too much and got punished for it.
