ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I think what we really need is a video of all the absurd dives from Salah put together with some nice dramatic war music and sniper sound effects for every dive before the derby.
The media won’t highlight it, the refs won’t take action with retrospective bans and Carlo is too classy to talk about stuff like that before a match.
Nowadays though, I honestly believe social media is bigger than media. A viral video of Salah’s ridiculous dives like yesterday back to back will be impossible to justify and show him as a pure cheat for anyone that doesn’t already know or care to admit it.
There was a brilliant one of Salah, by Andy Gray and Richard Keyes on Bein tv of Salah screaming for a pen, when barely touched. They were both p-----g themselves laughing at him, probably long gone now though. Last night's episode was filmed in slow motion to the music of the film Platoon, again can't find it now but it's out there. lol

Theres a video already out there with a whole host of his dives but there's probably about another 30 to add lol

I love the video where it's done like a computer game and he's getting shot for each dive
Nice one, I’ll have to go dig that out for a laugh

Honestly though, something like that going viral whilst everyone is dead keen to stick the knife into them would be brilliant because it would be irrefutable proof that he’s a cheat and it would have to have a say in the normal narrative.

I highlighted yesterday sky sports referring to Thiago as an enforcer backed by a stat that he makes the most fouls per game on average in the league - that’s not an enforcer that’s a dirty footballer. We all remember the derby when Van Dyke smashed James from behind and sky said ‘who’s the daddy’ instead of saying he should be booked.

but my point is, the media used to look the other way on Suarez antics too, until he became un-defendable... someone with the technical ability should highlight that Salah is also a huge cheat too and we should all share it everywhere.

Was looking at Durham(TS)Twitter and he said what a dive and reading some reply’s is just unbelievable, people actually think that it was a pen.

ref watch on sky today what do we think?
A. Will they even mention it?
B. If they do will it be a dive?

He’s obviously a shock jock who’s built a career out of getting people wound up enough to call into his show but the media needs more like him who aren’t afraid to say it how it is. Remember him getting abuse for calling out Suarez for what he was back in the day too.

...excited to read ref watch too, they’ve not been too bad recently given its sky...

If its Rob Wootton (Chelsea fan) yes.
If Warnock is on he'll say contact.
Our girl will say dive.

Me too. But I do still wonder what could have been if Roy had stayed. He had said before the tournament that semi final was possible.

We all know how rotten the "blazers" in the FAI were, but Mick was trying to manage a national team in a World Cup in spite of all this.

Keane really over-reacted and I suspect he probably knows that himself. He needed to stick with the squad.

BTW, I always think first impressions are important. When I saw Delaney in his first press conference I thought NOOOO!!! "SWERVE". Of course Dunphy fawned over him when he was appointed.

One thing I didn't like to see last night, and I don't like to see from any team, is that not a single RS player went to Alisson after the first error. The goalkeeper is a lonely position, and they spend their time bailing out the players in front of them but when they drop a clanger it's game over. The least they can do is help him up and tell him to forget it. The image of all the players walking away with Alisson sat on the floor after the first really irritates me.

That being said, it was really funny.

I can tell you right now that 100% they are not embarrassed about it. Me and my son were laughing our heads off at the decision and my missus tried to justify it by saying his arm was touched. When we said how does that result in him looking like he's been shot at the back of the legs it's "well I'm not bothered and you just concentrate on your team".

It's never been a case of "thats embarrassing that and he needs to stop"

I'm.telling you now as well, every single media outlet who doesn't call him on his diving means they are specifically told not to mention it because there's no way on this earth that anyone who loves football wouldn't have laughed laughed heads off at that pathetic dive and called him out on it. Their silence (Sky, BBC) is absolutely deafening
Carragher is always having a go at Richarlison over his “theatrics”. He admits he’s been fouled, but “made a meal of it” after he’s genuinely getting lumps kicked out of him some of the time.

If he’d have went down like Salah did yesterday and won a pen, it would be shown on Sky Sports News throughout the day on repeat with calls for retrospective action.

I’m not even joking.

a bit harsh this - it’s not as if they get lyrical injunctions not to do that before every game

There needs to be an independent review of the media, it’s become far too biased, basically Carragher and Neville just screaming about whatever is best for their team like spoilt brat fans trying to pressure referees.
