ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Liverpool and the south end. Listen to any football phone in on Radio Merseyside and as soon as they say 'Barry from Hunts Cross is on the line' or 'John from Garston' or 'Bill from Dingle' or whatever, I know they'll be reds.

Everton are a north end club, and places in the suburbs where people from the north end were re-housed as part of the post war so-called slum clearance orders have a lot of Everton support in them.
Hello Aldo, you old pigeon botherer lol

On Talk Sport, Thiago has just been called one of the BEST midfielders in the world and he was ON FIRE before he got injured haha
He’d played about an hour of togger for them before he got injured again ffs. Plus he arrived injured.

Bayern were struggling to get 20 games a season out of him, no wonder they weren’t keen to give him a new long term contract.

Hahaa.on fire only on fire he had was down shiel rd for the gonorrhea.do these morons think normal people dont actually watch any footy and we dont see for ourselves what unfolds in a match either that or idea balls are the way forward to winning games. They must think we just turn on tv radio or read the backpages to tune into the world of footy and take what they say as gospel. All media radio tv presenters writers reporters are as much a cult of deluded self righteous idiotic knobs as the cult of redshoite fans themselves.

They were a successful side in the 80s and people latched on to them. They then had Heighway and Whealan and this perpetrated the myth of an Irish connection, of them being the Irish team. I always felt like there was a nasty undercurrent to them back then, I used get a lot of "same blue as rangers" "proddie [Poor language removed]" stuff from them in the late 80s early 90s when I was just a kid with no understanding of it, I didn't care then and I don't care now. Religion has no place in sport, I wouldn't watch Celtic if they were playing in my front garden, nothing to do with religion just that club and league are not worth watching.
So those clowns raised another bunch of clowns who grew up listening to the same rubbish and now they have more clowns and are teaching them the same things again. So your at a point where the truth and history doesn't matter, all that matter's is what they have been brought up believing, that Liverpool are an Irish club. None of them know their history or the history of anfield or anything associated with the club. All they know is the 80s on and Heighway, Whealan, Houghton, Lawerenson, the pigeon botherer who all played for Ireland. I do enjoy occasionally setting them straight and always finish with the lines so without Everton FC there is no Liverpool FC which of course makes ye the [Poor language removed] sons of Everton Football Club, at that point anything could happen then

Hi Nero. It is a complicated matter with tensions between. Liberal and Conservative, Anglican and Methodist, Brewer and Temperance.

Have a read of this if you can get a copy.

No Liverpool game yesterday but the Daily Telegraph Sport (alias Liverpool FC promotion pamphlet) has a double page spread on all things RS. (Even though they are only 4th in the league)
Don’t worry. The higher you build them, the further they fall eventually. For all the reasons @catcherintherye has explained eloquently that day is coming soon

He hasn’t done a single pass worthy of anything James does multiple times in a match. The regular James cross field switch to Digne that he pulls off multiple times in a game is better than any pass I’ve seen Thiago play in a Liverpool shirt yet.
But what about that pass where he was looking the other way that went to someone offside? Solid 6 out of 10!!

With Chelsea back to some winning ways, Liverpool will start to feel the pressure for top 4 if City beat them at the weekend. I can’t see half those players sticking around for a season without CL, the egos of Mane Salah Robertson have become enormous.

Either way, Mane & Salah will be starting to look at the best way to prolong their careers...next contract and the one after that..

Nearly at the 29 year old mark, they can't play Klopp's style much longer....Spanish and Italian football will suit much better and they know it...

They'll hold onto Top 4 this season, but this is near the end for this team

“So-called slum clearance”? I’m taking it you never lived there

Erm, many people from those areas were proud of their places. My own family being one. They wouldn't take too kindly to being described as slum dwellers. The blitz made many of then slum-like and the Kingsway Tunnel finished the others off.

And the 'decanting' of people form those places to the outskirts was charmingly called "slum-dumping" by the press at the time.
