Mask is slipping again. Using Man City Covid 19 outbreaks to have a pop. Like at least we were effected directly by that and we didnt bitch and moan about ut.
I didn't get the full point he was saying, but the news seemed to suggest that it's unfair that City have had a break because of COVID.

Errrr, they have to play the same number of games so their fixtures will be more congested later on; like ourselves, we had a break but then five in fifteen days.

FSG must have been delighted to hear abut Liverpool's wunderkids last season. They knew it'd save them from having to splash out for decent younger players. They probably even knew it was a load of baloney and that their younsgsters weren't really top notch.

Klopp has been outmanouvered by the owners - the owners want success each season if they can get it, but their overwhelming objective is to keep Liverpool high profile and in a saleable state until the right offer emerges.

Of those youngsters, Larucci is leaving in the summer and Camacho has gone. They are 2 of the best players.

This season City hammered them for 7, and United, paying a loa of under 18's stuck 6 past them. A 17 year old got a hatrick past that Billy gimp and Sepp Van Der bloke. Woodburn (remember him) captained them.

Their under 23's looks a bit of a joke this season. All their alleged starlets played in these games too. Clarkson etc.

I must say, the ones who have been tested this season in the first team have been shocking. Phillips, Jones, Williams are bottom half of the Championship material - at best. The big hope: Harvey Elliott will end up like Ryan Kent: punted for about £8M - it'll probably be Gerrard again who buys.

It's a fair point mate, but in Bristol the gounds are a fair bit apart!

They were not Stanley Park apart, back in the day. But when Rovers played at Eastville, it wasnt a massive distance. Been escorted by the plod a few times back to Ashton Gate after playing them there.

Like when we moved here, (I had never heard of Bristol, let alone the football clubs), Ashton Gate was the closest ground me Dad could take us to. So that was that.

Is the new ground up by Filton Avenue that much further away from Ashton Gate? Wouldn't have thought so. I found football rivalries in Bristol so odd. Rovers fans just wanted to fight. Anyone. Anything. Give them a post match cider, oh deary me....

Well, its not "new", but it is, yeah. Its also on top of a massive hill. Probably another 2 miles away from Ashton Gate.

I have never really understood why folk follow one or the other club. Some reckon its down to a county thing. Gloucestershire covers part of Rovers Bristol, Somerset covers the City part.

Gloucestershire CC play in North Bristol, (home ground), Somerset CC dont.

Family stuff, too. Used to live in North East Bristol and it was a split between City and Rovers. Actually, Man Utd and Chelsea had more support amongst locals. Rovers definitely wanted aggro after games more. Not sure why.

Liverpool and the south end. Listen to any football phone in on Radio Merseyside and as soon as they say 'Barry from Hunts Cross is on the line' or 'John from Garston' or 'Bill from Dingle' or whatever, I know they'll be reds.

Everton are a north end club, and places in the suburbs where people from the north end were re-housed as part of the post war so-called slum clearance orders have a lot of Everton support in them.
“So-called slum clearance”? I’m taking it you never lived there
