we won’t will we - we’re shifting players out for new players summer - Rome wasn’t built in a day
Exactly. The point is that those first team players who are causing us problems are being primed as future squad players. Shift the squad players first, then buy in the first teamers, and the replaced first teamers become the squad players.

NGL I don't think Gomes, Sigs, or Mina, for instance, are first team starters for a top 4 challenging team... but they are definitely good options to have coming off the bench or as rotation across the 21/22 season.

On what team? This entire league right now is built around pace and power. Those two have got to be close to the slowest 2 in the entire league. If someone is coming off the bench you want fresh legs. Gomes and Sigurdsson have the same legs coming off the bench as most other players 80minutes in to a match.

Depends doesn't it?

Gomes and Sigs tend to slow the pace of the game down, but need an extra second on the ball to get their head up and pick the pass. When everyone else is leggy, players that can slow the game down and control the ball are premium.

Agree you still need pace to stretch a defence at all times.
