I'd have binned Pickford for this. Overall with this lineup, hopefully Carlo will grow a set and emphasize on attacking tactics. This Newcastle is shambolic and if we allow them 60-70% possession then we'll know where the problem is.

Would have preferred Davies to Sig and Holgate to Coleman simply because Iwobi excels with Iwobi behind him. but there are plenty of fresh legs on the pitch.

Talking about pickford now on bt sport basically saying hes crap and he needs to use his bloody brain and think a little bit before jumping all about the place.

Bit worried about the midfield 3, Doucoure, Siggurdsson and James. I think Doucoure is going to be doing most of the running and tackling there but good to have Coleman and Digne in the same side again, hopefully get some width and good service in the box for DCL

Godfrey our best player for 3 months gets dropped. Pickford our weakest link makes a mistake yet again keeps his place. That makes sense.

Can only think it's to keep people fresh for Wednesday. Olsen, Holgate, Godfrey, Gomes / Davies and our other strike... oh.

I can’t see gbamin being a legitimate option this season tbh. Delph to come back too - but the issue is obviously lack of attacking options off bench.
