Made up with a point. Missing our best midfield players, centre halves playing full back, Richarlison horribly out of form.

They were miles better than us, but they’ve had longer to build squad and style of play.

Beat Newcastle and it’s another good week

Clown! He's had one summer transfer window and brought in 4 quality players. Expect to see more this summer to really get things moving up a couple of gears.

With your attitude, you should be supporting Chelski or Watford...
Its people like you accept being mediocre. We played no PL football for almost 2 weeks due to fixtires being cancelled, had Digne, Richy, James and Iwobi all available AT home. Yet our tactics were as if we're playing Barca at home with 30% possession in both halfs. There was no desire or intent to win the game. The players have been instructed to play conservative football.

All of his wins have been from pragmatic football which do not get you near the top 4. We lost the games at HOME to West Ham and Leeds already this season due to his poor tactics.

I can give him that he is without Allan and Docoure but even with them in the side, its just the defence that becomes stronger. His tactics do not allow any creativity whatsoever unless its a cross that is headed in. Him and Brands rather than working a solution, let Walcott and Kean go on loan while they could have been the mobile options off the bench once chasing a winner.

^ Before the game and early on.

All considered then, a decent point IMO.

A shame the big dope in goal cost us the three points, but totally understand Ancelotti being pragmatic. He tried to do similar to what he did at Leicester, dig in deep - do them on the break/set piece.

It would have been 3 points if;

1. Our keeper wasn't a clown.
2. We got a bit of luck - Richarlison/Calvert-Lewin put one of their headers in or Gomes at the end.

On to Newcastle.
@Chrismac read and weep

We tried resolutely to defend against barrage of traffic coming through a non-existent midfield, and although Pickford is primarily to blame for the goal, it must be said that there were opportunities to get that cleared or blocked before it got through to the 'keeper. Dont think it would have done with Allan in there. But still should have be saved. I just hope there is not a fear that dropping Pickford will look like all the blame is being laid on him, and Carlo opts to keep him out of the spotlight and gives him another try. Enough is enough

It’s a tough gig at home when I’m deciding between Keane and Godfrey for MOTM. I honestly didn’t see anything from Digne first 20 mins of 2nd half , such a waste no wonder we were getting overrun in midfield. In the end we got a point against a better team and DCL could have stolen it for us so it nearly came off. Would love to have a conversation along the lines of “ Carlo why did we play that way?” ,
Especially after they scored and he tried to make a game of and we created three good chances in doing so. Noticed Gomes got six fans making him MOTM !! Never looked to see if Richarlison got any !!!

Allan plus Docuoure and Olsen in goal we win that 2 or 3 nil. Carlo is building such a solid team but sadly Pickford undermined the whole thing again.

Hmm, Leicester are a class above in terms of their squad and tonight it showed.

Yes, the error cost us, but we invited the pressure and I think the goal might have come one way or another.

Look, we take the point and move on. Could and probably should have won it through DCL at the end.

The stats were all firmly for Leicester. They bossed it. We can't do that to sides, not yet anyway, that are in the top half of the table. We're a bit behind them.

But we have moments of magic and had DCL been a yard to the right we win. Pickford mistake, we know what he's like, but it's where we're at right now.

Need a forward to give us an extra option for different types of games, but getting Allan back will be massive.

Made good adjustments did Rodgers, pushed his full backs up made our wingers defend, Tielemans and Mendy sat allowing Maddison to run the show. Won the tactical battle big time in that second half.

He's an excellent coach. Shame he's a massive prat and always bottles it against the RS.
