ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

This was an utter joy to read. Full of self pity and excuse making. It's a tour de force in cry-baby fan journalism.

They’re missing their “ customers “ who spend £200 in the club shop , then spend the entire match on their i-phones/pads. I thought they were only missing Virgin van Dick ?

City

United, RS, Chelsea, Villa, LCFC, Everton Spurs & Arsenal for three spots IMHO

I wish I shared your belief. I think we do not have nearly enough depth and the RS and UTD will be top 3.
Leicester are also a big threat, CHelsea with a great squad and new manager, Arsenal finding form and Spurs also, with a great squad.

All we have is Carlo and James really.

Sad face -hoping to be proved wrong, starting tonight

Tonight will be huge, even Carlo admitted as much. On paper we should be nowhere near it but then again we went 5 wins out of 6 including Chelsea Arsenal and Leicester and Wolves away barely conceding all whilst missing most of our best players.

In theory if we keep James Allan Richarlison DCL Doucoure fit for the rest of the season and we have no European distractions why can’t we have a run at the top 4?

City are nailed on, and United will have enough. There’s two other spots though between a host of teams. Liverpool are falling off it, Chelsea and Arsenal maybe coming from too far back. Spurs have been stodgy all season with too many draws but still up there. We’ve shown we can put winning runs together. Why can’t we keep ourselves in the conversation and then try and nick it in the run in. If we can beat Leicester and Newcastle we’d be set up perfectly for the second half of the season.

Im not arguing they are equally likely; but I think anyone of them has chance of falling in our out. Man United have had their luck, no injuries of note and more pens than a bic factory. Liverpool could find themselves 7th by the weekend (they have two very very tough fixtures, before playing Brighton, city and us) & any one of the rest is capable of winning 5 in a row. West-ham should be in that mix as well, they will beat liverpool at the weekend, given the preperation differences it is set up for them

I cannot emphasise how much this is true. Win, with te players we have out, and I am a believer in top 4, lose, and I just cannot see it. Too many good teams around us with very good squads. Ultimately, class tells, we do not have enough of it I fear

It is so hard to call. I feel it will be a bit clearer after this weekends fixtures.

I hope we do not regret getting another MF and RB in.

"there is a fair argument that no side is more aligned to and reliant upon its supporters as Klopp’s Liverpool."

No, my deluded kopite friend it is not a fair argument at all. It is 100% one of the most arrogant things a fan can say about their club. What I think he means is that no side has to bow down to a cult like Klopp's Liverpool, no other side has to be careful of what they say and when they say it otherwise feel the wrath of a fanbase that is deluded, blinkered and downright mental in their views and opinions about their own club and football in general.

Also what the absolute grade A bellendery is this comment, "mentality monsters", they really do know how to make them sound like tools to the extreme.

Lighten up lad. Whole lot of tosh this.

Which bit, mate? You think we have enough squad depth?

We certainly have more than just a manger and one player with quality to challenge them lot and the rest, in terms of 1st 11.

We certainly don't have the squad but I think it is not far fetched to say that we have a chance to be in the mix.

I know, as an Evertonian, it is the hope that kills us but even if we fall a bit this season I think that we are strong enough to get a Europa League place, which will hopefully attract a few more players of better quality. It is about the building process and there is a minority of reasons to feel so glum.

Anyway, back on topic. Kopites are Gob****es
