ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I mentioned it this morning about my RS mate saying the season should be paused because Covid is just as worse now as it was last year when the season was stopped. Had a text from him (funnily enough after the Man City game had finished) saying he's not arsed about this season because there are more things to worry about, like people dying from Covid. I pointed out that he wasn't like this last season and he had actually said it would be a disgrace if the premier league didn't let the season finish. I am awaiting his reply...:hayee:
I bet he was down the Pier Head spreading it.

Always hoped the kop Would adopt “agger agger cad-babra, I wanna reach out and a grab ya” as a chant.

Funny you should say that because i have always hoped that they would chant a satanic verse while burning a wickerman with a torres shirt on which in turn would open up a portal to the 5th 6th and 7th levels of hell temporarily but just long enough to suck their whole franchise thru and obliterate it from this realm. Would be a bonus if they were playing leeds at the time but i feel im asking to much with that one

This was an utter joy to read. Full of self pity and excuse making. It's a tour de force in cry-baby fan journalism.

As soon as they go out of the CL this season and the league looks to have slipped away; all this misty eyed pining for last season will soon become a vicious blame game as the fans look for their pound of flesh. No one will be safe, not the manager, players or owners, they’d throw them all under the bus. They’ve spent years giving it the big one to every single other fan base, they went so large that the fall will be unbearable for them. Whereas City fans took their medicine last season and got about rebuilding for this one, Liverpool fans will ensure scorched earth if neither of the big two trophies end up with them this season. There’ll be absolute war.

They'll go for Dem Yanks first; then they'll grow tired of Klopp's whingeing and turn on him.

This was never going to be a dynasty. The manager never had it in him - mentally frail; FSG cant and wont countenance the constant spending required for it. The only thing that could have saved the day was a Liverpool version of a Class of '92...but their much vaunted youngsters turned out to be pony.

If Spurs win tomorrow they will be out of the title race. It's as simple as that.
