OK fair enough, he's still gash.
Well you know that to be untrue too.
I see it like this. There are three types of players.
1. Average/Hardworking (like Kilbane, Davies)
2. Good/Hardworking (like Carsley)
3. Gifted (like Ronaldo)
Now many that fall into the 3rd category don't always track back, you don't always see them running around, but they are an influence. Yakubu for example, people have moaned that he doesn't run enough. Although that is improving under Moyes (note - Moyes gets players running) he has always been there to score the goals.
Fernandes is the kind of player who can dominate midfields, or not - but he will always be looking for that killer pass.
People say that Ronaldinho is the best player in the world, well if anyone has seen his performances in the last year would say that's not true. Cristiano Ronaldo is seen as the best player in the Premiership and some the world, yet he fails to shine against the big clubs.
Point is ability, gifted ability is not something you can develop. Graft and teamwork is something that Moyes can extract from a player, and some would say its that of which Moyes has extracted from a squad that are now playing for eachother.
Another point is this - how many midfielders have danced around Fabregas this season or last? If there is that ability available, and add into that Moyes work ethic instruction, then Fernandes has the potential to be great for this squad.
