Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

Talking about middle aged men with lots of cosmetic surgery and fake tans, rumour has it that James Beattie took his England shell suit off after the Ipswich game so he could kit up because he was so disgusted with the strikers. Ran into the toilet where big Dunc was having a crafty dump whilst reading the Pigeon Times. Beatsy trips over and launches at the pantless Scot. Just as the Fyldean Argos photojournalist turns up and snaps them in a compromising but wholly explainable situation. Anyway, that's why there was no presser today prior to the next match.

It's a big scandal, apparently this excuse has come up before with Beats as David Moyes, Tony Pullis and Sven Goran Eriksson can testify too. It's a real problem with the lad.

lol lol lol

Rotherham United vs AFC Fylde
7th October 2028

Two teams currently in mid-table came up against each other as we approached the end of the first quarter of the season. Barry Sargent was on international duty with Wales which was a big moment in the Centre Forwards career, he was a unused substitute in the match against Holland in the European International League. Alan O'Neill was on duty with Republic of Ireland u21's. Eight minutes into the match and Khan came forward with the ball and got inside the area, McGavin put in a good tackle but the referee signalled to the spot! Did McGavin take the man first? Khan took the kick and left Foster stranded as the ball smashed into the top right corner. Fylde didn't give up and Morton found himself powering forward through the centre from the Rotherham corner, he played it to Henderosn and his shot was saved by the keeper. 42 minutes gone and Mel Pope battled hard to win back the ball near the touchline, he found McGavin in the centre who lined up a perfect shot that rocketed into the top left corner! 1-1! His first of the campaign! Fylde were hitting Rotherham on the counter, Bytheway picked it up in his own half and ran forward, he played the ball into the box for Euan Henderson to tap in! 2-1! His 6th of the season! Fylde turned the match around on the verge of half-time. A tough second half ensued for Fylde, with a 2-1 lead and against a team possibly more superior with home advantage, it was going to be tough. Fylde defended brilliantly as a team and Bytheway broke forward when he picked up the ball, he got it forward to Josh Ferguson but was tackled outside the Rotherham area. Fylde were calm in defence in the ten minutes of the second half and were sticking to the game plan. Five minutes to play and Grocott got into the box for Rotherham but Foster got down to turn it behind, great save. Fylde just had a few minutes to hold on for and were defending brilliantly. Rotheram took the throw deep in the Fylde half, Feeney won the header and Bytheway took it up the pitch, it was job done and Fylde took all three points! What a win for The Coasters!

DF: It was a big away win and we contained them and broke with pace. We defended remarkably and Feeney was class today. This result pushes us up the table and gives us vital points.

Swindon Town vs AFC Fylde
14th October 2028

Swindon were rockbottom of League One and came up against an in form Fylde side who were closing the gap at the top. Fylde were playing the possession game well but not doing enough to create clear-cut chances. Josh Ferguson got the ball into the box on 41 minutes but it was cleared away, McGavin picked it up outside the box and he chipped it into the box for Bytheway who took it away from the defender and slotted low into the bottom left corner! Swindon had the chance of the first half when a last second effort curled only just over the bar but it looked as though Foster had it covered. Ferguson brought on Mick Wisdom in the second half for Josh Ferguson and played with a midfield three. Fylde kept control and defended against Swindon's attacking threat closing them down on the edge of the box. Swindon pushed hard for the equaliser and Ferguson's men were firmly behind the ball. Beecroft came down the right wing unchallenged, sent the ball in which rolled straight across the goalmouth and cleared away by Bytheway. Fylde got the ball forward to Allaway in stoppage time who jinxed past two Swindon defenders, played the ball into feet for Sargent whose shot was palmed away by the keeper. Ferguson was massively relieved when the final whistle was blown and came away with another three points!

FERGUSON EYES CUP GLORY

The Fylde manager knows his team won't win the competition but he wants to progress as far as possible with the aim of an elite draw in the third round. Ferguson got Fylde into the third round in 2022/23 with an away trip to Reading but was beaten 2-1 with Ryan East scoring for Fylde. A tough away trip to League One Chesterfield awaits The Coasters in two weeks time.

Moves taught him that mentality. He should look to his first Everton manager for inspiration, Joe ... wait a second it was Mike Walker?

We're doomed.

I tried singing Bytheway to the tune of Eezer Good by 2 Unlimited at the match.

Got chinned by some 83 year old granny who thought I was an old neighbour who had that song on repeat for 6 months. She apologised and I told her it wasn't me, I was the neighbour behind hers who had Haddaways What is Love on repeat for 9 months
Wouldn’t feel too bad about it. The way she got that uppercut in past your harpoon brandishing arm suggests she’s an expert in Krav Maga
