I’m guessing that was Ancelotti’s away from home Vs better teams formation, with the 451. I’d expect to see Richarlison back up front next week & Hamez in a more central role behind them.

P.S. Wait till Ancelotti gives him #10 and he earns the captain armband. That's when you get James 2.0. Like when he plays for our NT. There was a James before and after the #10. Trust me. It's in the South American genes, to wear that number. Then you get Beast Mode!

I thought he switched the play superbly yesterday from one wing to the other. That type of pass is one of the best passes in football to open up the opposition. We've had nobody doing it consistently for years. Top teams do it a lot

What impressed me the most was how often he looked to attack. Given what we recently had with our attack cut off constantly , seeing a player constantly playing it towards the attack in ways that we could only dream of a few months ago. It was beautiful.

He instinctively knows when to take a touch and bring in other players, or control and run into space, or pass it first time. Makes it look like he always has time and space on the ball.

He’ll have tougher days than yesterday, but the quality is obvious.
