Confirmed Signing Allan

And yet one of the biggest complaints we have had in recent times is being soft, not playing hard ball and overpaying and now you are suggesing we cough up at the first hurdle. Can't have it boths ways. We should buy at the price we want or walk away... that's how Levy got Hojbjerg for £15m when we allegedly offered a deal for vastly more, our reputation preceeds us - time to change that impression or we will continually be rinsed, even if it means missing out on a few.

Where in what I've said do I suggest I want to cough up at the first hurdle? I'm all for negotiating. But at the same time if you have a number one target you go and get them.

Davies
Gbamin
Delph
Gomes
Allan

Cant see us adding another without an out, serious amount of wages being pumped in there.

Make you wonder about being in for Hojiberg, would we have signed him and Allan. That’s if we are actually in for Allan like.

*Besic like, as well.

If Ancelotti is here to build, he can build leaders. 30mil on a 30 year old because he's a leader isnt for me. Get someone young in and groom them into the role. That way we can get a couple prospects instead of a tired old player.

Can see Delph being the one to go regardless of getting anyone else

100% agree. Past 4 years we have been utter morons in the transfer market. Few clubs out there probably still laughing at us. Just because we had a bit of money to spend never meant we couldnt still apply the same principles as when we never in terms of getting some value. Koeman was the first main culprit. No thought at all into character and positions needed to fill. Just went out and chucked it about like monopoly money.
If any deal is not right walk away.

Yeah, cause we’ve been able to try young players and groomed them in Davies.

Clear we need some fight and experience in the middle to relieve pressure of some players.

Can’t just buy a load of 21-year olds and expect them to grow whilst we’re getting whooped 3-0/4-0 every week.

Besic will go.
Gbamin is the invisible man (although not invisible to the accounts, but I assume insurance covers him for duration of injury)
Delph - think its outside shout he leaves this summer like. If he could stay fit I wouldn't be against him staying, bit of a knob but he's not a bad footballer, not brilliant but not bad.
Gomes stays, he HAS to find some fitness.
Davies will be here until the end of time because despite doing next to nothing in a blue shirt the club like him(?), Possible he is kept for HG reasons.

Agree though, do wonder if we'd have brought in two CM's. Perhaps they wanted to go for Hjobjerg due to cheap £15m, allowing for more money to be spent on another position?

Who knows. The downside to being so emotionally invested in something that you know nothing about apart from 90mins on a matchday!

No chance insurance covers an injury! That would be so open to players feigning injury!

I think it covers particular injuries (basically long period ones). They are insured for it, and they will obviously have to prove the injury to the insurers. Obviously insurers won't cover a player for a certain injury if they've a history of it.

I never knew that either, anyone know anything more or specific about it?

The only time I heard of insurance paying wages is when someone gets injured on international duty.

I firmly believe Insurance only covers death or injuries that finish careers.

I doubt there's an insurance company in the world that could cover wages for Premier League players wages and just imagine the premiums.
