If they think we've undermined an agreement they have with Lille for a player (albeit one they seemingly can't afford without sales) then why wouldn't they either demand more money or simply refuse to sell to us?How? Through the possibility of vindictive behaviour by Napoli's chairman?
He won't sell us Allan if we have already bought Gabriel? That sounds a bit far fetched imo.
I don't believe that our failure to sign Gabriel thus far is due to Napoli's chairman threatening to keep hold of Allan.
Given the thread suggestion that Lille won't hang on for too long, the strategy seems to be to hold off buying Allan until Lille get frustrated. They decide to sell Gabriel to us, breaking the agreement with Napoli. We get Gabriel and can still go to Napoli and ask for Allan knowing we didn't force the issue.
