Having a team so much better than the rest definitely devalues the product of any competition for me. The PL has never had close to a period where one club has dominated like Bayern. Even Fergie's United don't get close.

I'm not comparing the quality to the SPL. But it's no more competitive than the SPL and what is sport without a bit of drama and uncertainty? Bayern literally take most young German players who come through at other clubs, and normally get them pretty cheap too. Not my idea of entertainment really. although the current Bayern team are obviously a quality side.

Well, I mean since 1992/93 United have won 13 PL and Bayern have won 18 Bundesliga's so it's not an enormous difference.

And this season there have been 5, German teams have won 5, aggregate score is 17-3

Your point is?
What about this year's mate? I mean I already know the answer so why did you pick last year exactly?
I picked last year because Nymzee had highlighted this year already, and I was pointing out that it wasn't really proof of anything. I thought it was pretty obvious but I forgot you have to spell things out in crayon for some people.

Nah haha, I just hadn't clicked show ignore content in awhile and missed Nymzee's post.

Anyway it isn't like there is some long term trend of German club's dominating English ones or vice versa, so I don't think it is relevant.

Well since football is evolving, teams are improving/declining, I like to take the most recent examples. Personal preference of course.

Well that proves the PL has become more competitive since that period, which is a good thing. Although it's not quite the same either. 8 in a row is an awful lot and at least Arsenal, Blackburn etc were able to break through at some point. I genuinely don't see how anyone comes close to Bayern for the next 2 or 3 seasons at least. They've got an unreal squad and just got Sane as well.

Gap between 1st and 2nd in Bundesliga is smaller than it is between 1st & 2nd in our league, 2nd & 3rd as well actually. I don't think them being amazing should devalue the strength of a whole league. Liverpool just got 99pts and Norwich got 21pts whilst playing 4 more games than Paderborn (20pts).

I really don't see a huge gap in quality in the league as a whole between the PL and Germany anymore. I think maybe atmospheres and pressures might be different; ferocity even; but not quality.
