Player salaries should be up for discussion, not normal working class people’s salaries.

You’re one of the richest clubs in world football. You can afford to keep these people on. Losing 20% of your salary is huge.

We turn over a lot less than you and we are keeping our staff on full pay.

80% should be fine for most people considering no travel expenditure, lunches, no going out etc.

It should be hopefully and I hope everything returns to normal as quickly as possible. I think most people's objection is against the clubs paying one set of staff a fortune, whilst the impact is being felt by the lower paid non-playing staff.

I would feel a bit bad sitting in my multi million pound mansion knowing that the lowest paid members of staff are actually living on less than usual.

It would be nice if between them all they agreed to cover the staffing costs with each receiving a bit less in salary (which seeing it is 45% tax anyhow wouldn't be a huge dent anyhow).

These players will obviously have mortgages and car loans like the rest of us that will be sized accordingly to their salaries but seeing them not going out probably saves about 50k a month from not visiting posh restaurants and blowing a load on crystal at VIP clubs I'm sure there is room enough for them to help.

Also there is a perception that the clubs are loaded and should have the reserves to handle their staffs wages, which may or may not be true. I would like to think they were, but we all see the turnover figures when they come out and see how close to the bone they can cut it and it's not so long ago we were down the back of the sofa before the tv money hit the bank account.

The lot of them should take a huge pay cut. Wages have spiralled beyond any measure of money needed to live on. Players now seem to view remuneration and transfer fees merely as a means of one-upmanship and a measure of their standing in the game. A player's standing used to be measured by trophies, wins, goals and clean sheets, nowadays it's measured by their transfer price, wages and the amount of hits they get for the photo of their latest tattoo on Instagram. They exist in a bubble, but the pin's about to pop it.

BBC:

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho accepts he was in the wrong for holding a one-on-one training session with record signing Tanguy Ndombele in a public park.

Mourinho was pictured on social media flouting UK government rules by meeting the midfielder on Hadley Common on Tuesday.

While they observed social distancing guidelines, Mourinho conceded his "actions were not in line with government protocol".

He added: “It is vital we all play our part and follow government advice in order to support our heroes in the NHS and save lives.”

Fellow Spurs players Davinson Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon also were filmed running together through the same London park, while Serge Aurier filmed himself on Instagram running alongside a friend

Question for the Spurs fans: do you guys still think Sissoko is good?

Last season everyone went crazy for him and I said it was more a case of him being available when they didn't have anyone else than him actually performing. The rest of the team played well enough and he was there to reap the rewards. But I don't know if Spurs fans are still holding on to the idea that he actually was just playing well now that this season he's struggled with everyone else. So I'm curious what you think.
