So we should shunt the entire football calendar for the next 3 1/2 years, including moving the Euros to the winter and having a fallow period of no football for 8 months at the start of 2023, merely so dem red men can finish der most special season ever?

I see.

Get back to rawk mate ffs.

Would you at least have the courtesy to read what I have written before replying with the same predictable nonsense again. Its boring.

All I am saying is it is one possible solution, along with many others including voiding

They are an absolute embarrassment to society, this Liverpool football cult. Yeah I'd be annoyed in their situation, but signing up to a rival forum, pretending to support your rival, crying and injustice and trying to come up with scenarios that you have no control over? You have to think there's more to life? Jesus christ that's embarrassing, sad and pathetic. Everyone is laughing at you, it gets funnier every post, just give up posting.

As we are on wacky ideas for how we restart I posted the below last week. Could be a goer.

Cancel next season.

Take the PL on a world tour.
Create different tournaments that countries and TV can bid on.
Do this until February. Maybe do some stuff in this country as well.

March 2021 restart this season.

Would help out the travel industry.

Job done!

This season was all but over anyway. Liverpool were just two games away from winning the title. I honestly think if they had won the title there would be a very different conversation by now, clubs fighting for top four, Europe or relegation would be the only thing to give it any relevance.

I don't know what the solution to season 19/20 is but as far as I am concerned it cannot interfere with the following season.

If season 20/21 is sacrificed for season for 19/20 there will be zero interest in watching football on television after just a few games as most clubs will have nothing to play for.
Are pubs around the country going to pay SKY thousands of pounds for the season just to have nobody watching football.

Season 20/21 would be starting from scratch with all the hope and optimism that a new season brings.
In all honesty I think that if the new season were to be compromised just so that the old season could finish some games then I think I would save myself some money and cancel my subscription to SKY sports . What would there be to watch ?
Two wins away. Not necessarily two games.

Their special season is irrelevant at this stage, the entire focus will be on getting European football back on track as quickly & profitably as possible. I dont think anything will happen for the PL independently of anywhere else, Uefa will look to unify the calendars to manage transfer windows, major tournaments etc.

All I am saying (as per my very first point in this thread) is IF Football is ready to play circa Sept time & IF the decision is to play out seasons Europe wide, one thing that might happen is move the Euros again to November 2021, the same time of year as Qatar 2022 meaning you would have.....

Sept - nov 2020 finish all leagues across Europe
Jan - Oct - new 2021 season followed by euros
Jan - Oct - new 2022 season followed by WC
2023 & 2024 move back to the traditional Aug to May season

Again I am saying this could be a solution, not the solution

No, just no. Club football is not a summer sport, never has been, never will be. You also don't appear to make suggestions on how transfers would work during this proposed period, pretty much every player contract runs to June/July so you have teams potentially losing key players for nothing half way through your proposed seasons
