Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

Mail reporting how Liverpool have issued mental health advice to the players to deal with the prospect of not winning the title....
Because priorities
Unreal, crying themselves to sleep every night on a mountain of cash - whilst most of us really don't know what's going to happen to our livelihoods from day to day.
Serious reality check required.

To be fair, it's quite easy to paint them out like that. But in reality, they're in a close knit world where other players in the same position are based, and the human condition means that they will behave in a similar way to the likes of me (and probably most of us) would behave and worry about stuff, just at a totally different level. If I was like the poor lad who I saw dossing down in the bus shelter this morning, I might think that someone sat on the internet having a moan from the comfort of his home required a serious reality check.

Imagine this keeps getting worse and worse in Italy and we’re having to force Carlo Ancelotti and his whole team to do training 4 times a week and play behind closed doors games, just so Liverpool can win 2 more games and be crowned champions.

Madness.

In all honesty, I'd prefer they were just given the title instead of playing any more games. This whole thing has put a lot of stuff into perspective for me and I'm surprised anyone is arsed about football at the moment

Its not just about them though, despite them thinking it is, as we have said so many times cancel all and nothing happens, and restart in august etc, though even that would have many moaning, cant have one thing for them and nothing for anyone else-no matter what no way will be right for someone-its all a mess

But my point is who cares? Yeah, it would be fairly unprecedented, but if there was any notion that this league would be forced to go on so they can lift a trophy, then I would just prefer the alternative.

Sean Ingle in the Guardian:
Over the weekend I spoke to a leading expert, who is involved with the national response to the coronavirus pandemic, to ask him when sport as we know it – in front of packed crowds – might return. His response was sober and downbeat. “My expectation is that this is something that is going to be around for a long period of time,” he said. “There are no silver bullets on the horizon. We are talking months and months – and perhaps even next year and beyond.”

Sean Ingle in the Guardian:

They don't give a toss about fans seeing the football - they just want to crown them champions at all costs.

They'll play behind doors and get every fixture done in a series of five a side 20 minute games if they can get away with it.

This has exposed the powers that be behind football for what they are.

Prem should pass a ruling for next season. Should cancel the summer window and make each club donate 10 mil to a fund to help lower league clubs. 200 mil in a pot for the lower leagues.
Said in an earlier post this is going to change the face of football,I honestly expect 15+ clubs to vanish, after it starts up Id like to see the PL,Fa,FL and PFA get together and work out a way to take a percentage of transfer fees and agent fees to try and help clubs

Liverpool fans are discussing what they would do if they were not allowed to win the title on reddit.
“I’m done, at least for my own sake. I will however still support the club but I doubt I will pay Viasat (Sweden) any more money for the sports package,” said another.

That lot have never known a bad run,for as long as I can remember they have always been there or there abouts,Id love to see them go a few years of being mid table,no real cup runs, they would be giving tickets away
