If Pedro Willian or Giroud sign for another club for next season their new club wont be happy with them togging out for chelsea in July

They'd have to sign him and loan him back. Which means Chelsea pay money for it, taking away from their transfer funds.

It's a non-starter.

Look they deserve to win the league they’ve been by far the best team but their conduct and that of their sycophantic messenger boys has turned my stomach . If they’d shut up , in fairness like the manager seemed to do , I would have been significantly happier with it but the media drip drip drip as redundancy letters and calls fly about and lives change forever and that’s before we even talk about people actually dying .

I’ve already all but fallen out of love with football but I suspect it’ll take some turning around now .

If it's backed by legislation, they may have no choice.

Furthermore, how many players does this apply to? There are very few key 1st team players with over 20 league appearances who's contract is expiring at that time.

Worst case scenario, they leave and the clubs are without a player for the final 3 or 4 games that they were going to lose anyway.
David Silva , perhaps the best midfielder in the league behind KDB says hello

Fair enough, so let's assume you're right. And those players out of contract leave their respective clubs on the 30th June.

It still only affects 9 regulars across 6 clubs and, by that point, probably only for the last 3 or 4 games anyway.

It's a bit dramatic to suggest that would cause a huge legal nightmare.
Well 2 West Ham players caused a legal nightmare for Sheff Weds and The League

Footballers confirming they are happy to play past their contract.....

More and more holes appearing in those 'objections' fellas.
