Believe it or not I think he is being seriousYour having a laugh
It is a very big assumption that things will be back to normal next AugustCome on guys, realistically never mind the mathematics our neighbours cannot be dislodged they are the champions. Having said that for me the best way out of this mess is for the football league to recognise that and award them the trophy but to declare the season over and leave all matters relating to promotion and relegation to next season with the clubs at all divisions carrying the points forward as a credit to be built on in the new season. For CL and EL take the current positions as those for qualifying.. If the FL carry on with postponements and try to restart in say 2 months time it will be with holidays and the new season start to take into account make a right bleeding mess.
The only other alternative is to declare for all levels the season null and void and starting afresh next August.
Can you explain the rationale you used to reach that conclusion pleaseRemember
Voiding a season means no Europe next season. So that would factor into any decision
No one to blame but yourselves ,Been reading up on some of the latest findings.
Anyone who thinks we are going to see any football in the next 18 months may be in for a surprise.
140,000 have lost their jobs in IrelandReally not bothered either way now. I don't think people realise how bad things are going to get. A lot of businesses are going under and people will lose jobs (ignoring those who will lose their lives). Let them have their trophy, but with the caveat that everyone will know that they begged for it while the world was falling apart.
If Boris does not get his act together and force schools ,pubs ,bars ,restaurants cinemas etc to close like the rest of europe Britain is in for a long and deadly summer.Just making a point Mike, basically the same issues arise whenever it is restarted if not cancelled. Talk is that the epidemic is going to last for several months.
FixedAll mick taking aside, who cares what happens with the Premier League title. This is an existential event for SOCIETY AND football clubs (especially lower league) and this should be the first port of call for the football authorities in the England and for the rest of the UK. How they deal with it I don't know. A fund set up by the Premier League clubs for the English leagues? Scotland's top League has no money at all. Some big clubs could disappear.
Then you take into account all the sponsorships etc it's a complete mess.
Are you more angry/down about the virus or the league potentially getting completed? As of Right now I’m angry/down they’re restarting the season
That is the right thing to do. Let us be clear on the latest news there is expected at least 20,000 deaths from the virus, The economy, jobs, business are facing unprecedented difficulties and there is worry about finishing a football season, what a joke. In the current situation football is a trivial irrelevance.
Believe it or not I think he is being serious
One of the oddest posters (or WUMs or multi ) on here in quite a long time
And there is some stiff competition for that title
