Most seem to have head in the sands, a few panicking. That will grow over time.

But they won’t do that. It's preferable to throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
Exactly. Winter football works. Successful brands do not move away from what works and try the unknown, it’s not a sound business plan.
Liverpool deserve nothing. Think back to heysel we took the main punishment. Even dalglish in his book said Everton were the team most affected by the European ban. When it was lifted guess which team qualified yes the RS. Bit of humility and they could have said can everton have our place instead after what happened to them.. ok UEFA would have said no but it would have been nice to see.Liverpool deserve the title. I dont care if they get awarded it. It would be an anomaly. Not a real title.
The season should only be finished if it can be done so by mid summer at the latest, and more importantly, if it is safe to do so.
Until then we need to wait and see.
This would the first domino to fall. I sense this would be Liverpool's argument too. Just hand us the title and forget about everything else. The exact sort of scab mentality we have come to expect from that club.
Unfortunately for them it won't work like that. Believe me, the moment the PL make any kind of declaration based upon this season Pandoras box is opened. Leeds and West Brom are going to say they should be allowed to come up. Fulham will say the same as the third place team. Teams 3-6 will say they planned to finish strong, catch them and should therefore be promoted. Probably 10 sides in the championship will say they deserve the right to compete in the play offs. They would all have strong cases.
Worst case scenario you have to promote 2 teams and have a lengthened season in what will be a tighter time frame.
In the PL sides are going to get into a massive bunfight about who deserves European football. Expect Leicester and Spurs to both pipe up in different directions. I would even expect us to make a case, that given our post Silva form, and how close to we are to European places we should also be launching a civil action.
Thats just me, off the top of my head. I'm sure legal advisors for other clubs will be thinking well beyond that and politely letting the PL know. I mean the inference I get from Brady, is that she will let the PL know she is not expecting any relegation this season. However it's hard to see how you can't have relegation and declare the league invalid on one hand, but on the other state you can have valid champions. It doesn't work that way.
But they won’t do that.
They’ll want to finish this season, 100%. If they can’t, people will understand. There’ll be ramifications obviously, but if it’s not possible to play the games it will be because there’s much more serious things happening, people won’t fall out with football over it. They will then carry on as they always have from next season. There’s no need for the bath water to be thrown out, nevermind the baby.

So for me they deserve nothing and I hope they get nothing. What goes around comes around as the great philosopher Justin Timberlake said

This. Karma will be justice
Logic should prevail. It’s all guessing work until the Government intervene. If the Government so intervene, the the clubs haven’t got a leg to stand on.
If the Premier League cancel it, then it gets complicated, and I think that’s why they’ve been delaying.
Germany, In particular is in talk to expand if even further to ensure no lawsuits, which makes me believe that going forward the Prem will consider reducing down to 18 teams, even though this is a one off anomaly.
if you promote Leeds and West Brom, Fulham will be unhappy. If you promote them and don’t hand them the title, they’ll be unhappy. If Liverpool get the title and Leeds don’t go up, they’ll be unhappy.
it’s the impossible situation.
It seems like Germany will void pretty soon. That will be a massive game changer and a nail in the coffin.
You are absolutely right about the final point though. Once you start making decisions it becomes hard to stop and hard to justify what is happening.
and when will that be April May June July August ???Correct, and that's precisely why it won't happen without the vast majority of clubs agreeing to the voiding of the season.
As it's not in their interests to do so yet, most teams still have a shed load to play for, they wouldn't vote to void it.
Assuming future scheduling and contract issues can be overcome, there is nothing wrong with simply delaying the season and allowing the leagues to finish in their natural sporting way, once it's safe to do so.
As you say, it would be hugely unfair to a lot of teams to void the leagues and create a whole lot more legal matters to resolve off the back of this.
