On SSN they said that is one of the rumoured proposals should the league be cancelled.

I think alot of us are looking at things from a "by the book" perspective however the authorities will simply put be looking for the easiest way to "solve the problems" that this thing causes.

Simply put they'll say "we put it to a vote and the majority of clubs said they felt Liverpool deserved to win the premier league this season, that it would be unfair to relegate teams based on current positions and to deny the 2 sides clearly ahead in the promotion to the premier league".

Simply put the premier league will be hoping that the rest of the season can be played and run its natural cause otherwise they have two alternates:

1. By the book - void it then have Kopites whinging, uncertainty over the prize money, TV revenue & places in next seasons CL/EL alongside clubs in the automatic promotion spots in the Championship, Leagues 1 & 2.

2. Award LFC the title, stop anyone going down and bring teams up, tv money/finishing positions known for prize money and whos qualified for europe.

I just cant see them voiding the thing maybe in 1915 not with the amount of money in the game now.

I read that and it's a bit extreme isn't it.

What i don't understand is, why can't they? when all off the players have come out of isolation, reschedule the fixtures behind closed doors.

Why does anything need to be voided? Does June and July not exist to the premier league? Given that Euro 2020 is likely too be canned the players will be available anyway.

They can’t just have favourtism. Either mate the same solution needs to be for everyone

If Liverpool are provided the title and teams aren't relegated, you would suspect that there would be good cause for legal action from the teams who suffered.

But no teams would suffer which is my point - LFC win the league, the bottom 3 stay up but Leeds and WBA also come up and the league is 22 with 5 spots open for relegation next season and 3 promotion to take it back to the normal 20 the following season.

Everyones a winner which is essentially what the authorities will want.

Its why I hope we can play the season out (unlikely) as I would atleast hope one or both of WHU and Villa go down rather tham have them both still in the league with + the potential possibility of Leeds also joining them.

LFC will be awarded the league regardless - they'll put it to a vote and the majority of the prem sides will say they deserve it and that will be that - if Man City conceede they should be awarded it then they will.

The players won’t even be training have months off and then come back months later and finish it? And then your pushing the new season further back? No just eff this one off!

Man city would say they could have have still won the league .
Any team who can still get europe would say they were done out of that.
Any team in the championship who could still get promoted would say they could still go up.
Legally it would be a nightmare
