You miss the point here which has been discussed more times than soft joe. Investe4mnt can only come in as follows.

!. The shares are purchased by a new owner who then outs funds ibto the club's accounts. (remember the monies paid for the shares go into the sellers private accounts as it is their money not the clubs) BB and friends will only agree to this at a price that is currently so far out of the market that it's a non-starter - so will not happen

2. the currnet shareholders create more shares and have a rights issuue which will bring money into the club. See above

3. Some very generous person lends the club money at what ever interest rate is agreed. The only route BB can realistically pursue - '24/7' of course... -

Now can we please get this in everyone's mind and put the investement issue to bed.

So setting aside any speculative / hypothetical arguments, we are relying on such planets to align: a) there is an interested investor who doesn't have any ownership / control ambitions, b) they are not Korean, Libyan, American, Angolan shysters, and c) BlueBill gets to stay Chairman. Now you see the true predicament we face towards 'bringing in investment'.

Don't hold yer breath fellas...

Edit: Aaaaarghhh - cool smiley trap. I have now truly arrived!!

You talked of Bk getting investment in,

Did I?

Lets double check that;

To claim the Club where in a better situation under Johnson is damn right ridiculous. I wouldn't even justify that assertion with an response.

We're currently in purgatory, I've said this since the Cup Final. I've routinely remarked on here "Remember that FA Cup Final squad...." because it'll no doubt be used as a yardstick - but purgatory under Kenwright is a substantial improvement compared to Johnson.

If Kenwright secured good, solid investment in the summer and we kicked on, history would have him down as an Everton great. A man who took control of the club at a time of absolute turmoil, appointed Moyes, kept the Club relatively steady and secured good, solid investment when so many other Clubs faltered (Blackburn (- wheres all that money their owners promised to spend?), West Ham, Man City (first two times), Liverpool, Man Utd, Notts County, Portsmouth, Leeds etc etc etc etc).

Of course, all that is swept away if he doesn't secure investment quickly.

Surely your bone of contention isn't the passing remark? The point of the post was to refute we're in a worse position since Johnson left and to back up that opinion, I stated Kenwright still actually has the milestones to be remembered fondly in Everton history. What he does next will be the decisive factor...

I'm hardly "talking about Kenwright getting investment in". I've not discussed the likelihood or the intricacies of any potential "investment" - investment, a term broadly used without actual understanding as to what it actually means.

I clarified the investment angle,

You didn't. Your not at all placed to clarify "the investment angle" - you cant clarify anything if all you've got to go on yourself is speculation and conjecture.

you made it sound as though he would just pop along somewhere and find some money

Did I now? Assumptions, assumptions, assumptions. As ever, Mr Jarvis. Its remarkable how much nonsense you can derive out of my posts.

so yes I think you missed the point here and giving others wrong information.

This, from a guy who claims to have "clarified the investment situation".

Also, I didn't give anyone "wrong information". I presented an opinion. Theres a massive, massive difference. Check a dictionary.

nothing would change except we would need a new chairman but BK would still have his shares and a seat on the board, so your query is a bit stupid and pointless.

Get off that high horse. It wasn't a query, nor is it "stupid" or "pointless".

The point was...

If Kenwright walked out of Everton tomorrow, what would change?

To which you and others replied;

nothing would change

There's a point in there somewhere. Think. (y)

Your attempts to find fault in any of my posts always raises a wry smile. A true highlight of the forum. You bad stalker you. You miss the glaringly obvious posts I make which could be torn to shreds and and attempt to pick fault when theres nothing to pick at. You picked a post here which provided the most amount of positive 'reputation' I've had to date on here. Well done Sir. Carry on.

Tried getting a Jimmy Bullard gif but it was crap, get some Bullard stuff on here the guy is awesome.

People, I know there isn't any transfers but let's not get into the Kenwrighg debate on here ! I did last night and it sidelined the thread , let's not do it again . There are other Bill threads in the forum though ! Thanks people....

one way to look at the neville thing is - hes got no ambition, doesnt want to play in the CL and play for a team with aspirations this season for a pop at the top 3, what type of mentality is that. boot him out the door

Neville is coming to the end of his career, he and his family live and are long-time settled in the North West, and I'm sure he has a few quid to get him through his football retirement! So I would imagine the thought of going to spurs to provide cover in case of injuries in their CL push is not very appealling to him.

So only way it might happen is if they bid and we accept, which tells him is no longer wanted. He may then go until the summer and then retire.

"Remember that FA Cup Final squad...." because it'll no doubt be used as a yardstick

Do most blues think Moyes' squad peaked with the FA Cup Final? As convenient a milestone as it is, and I agree with you that that's how it'll probably be remembered, I think the squad was stronger last season, minus Lescott but plus Distin, Heitinga, Bilyaletdinov and Donovan. For a moment there we had proper strength in depth, discounting the injuries to key players that kept us from putting it to good use.

This year though Bily's gone into (arguably enforced) hibernation, Heitinga decided he wasn't arsed anymore (though I dare say he's rediscovered something of his past form in recent weeks?), Pienaar's gone, Vaughan's gone, Yak's gone, Yobo's gone. The squad already has a very different feel to it and it seems it is going through something like the 'revolution' that Mirror article was on about.

Just thinking out loud here. Back to me essay.

Oh bollocks:lol:, I never mentioned Johnson at all or referred to him:dodgy:. I clarified the route investment would have to take.:)

As for your claimed bad posts, I steer clear of these on the premise you do not need any more of my help to highlight their "bad" nature. Quite reasonable on my part I think. Good to have a laugh though isn 't it.b)

Now can everyone on this thread get back to transfers.(y)

Fairy Nuff. THT, from your lookout, is there ANYTHING at all brewing at the House of Pain right this moment??

Spoke to S; 15 mins ago and nothing really happening !! Looking at another young player but think it's for the academy so nothing to even get remotely excited by !! I'm not sure whether Davie is playing this like poker or we haven't even got the money for a loan. I would be amazed though if he did nothing after letting a few go !! As always if anything solid happens ....

Thanks bluebab.

I love/hate the late windows! The Fellaini one was a classic though, must've been 1.30, 2am!

I know, went to bed thinking, "Carlo who?" and woke up thinking, "Marouane who?"

Since then, though, I'm always still there, waiting and hoping, for at least a couple of hours afterwards.
