The deadline for transfers is Jan 31st not Jan 26th.It will be seriously disappointing if there isn't at least one new arrival and in particular a striker.
I think we need new players for the freshness and new competition it would bring to the squad. Our squad at present is not big but it's not exactly threadbare,at present we have seventeen outfield players excluding Duffy,Baxter etc.
At present the club seems as if it is "becalmed".Since David Moyes arrived there has been a feeling that we were moving forward, slowly maybe but at least in the right direction.
That momentum seems to be lost at present.
Like many Evertonians I am the eternal optimist.Every time I log onto an Everton website I am hopeful that we have signed or are about to sign the player that we all ask ourslves "why didn't I think of him ? "
I think Gary Lineker paints reasonably accurate picture.I am sure the supporters of probably90% of clubs are unhappy about how their clubs are being run.
Bill Kenwrights biggest failing is that he is not wealthy.I have no idea what he is like as an individual, the story quoted by LCAB about the Alan Ball funeral is disappointing but to be fair is not something that is reported too often.
I know Bill Kenwright wants to do the best for Everton, nothing else makes business or football sense, maybe knowing when to let go or on what terms is a difficult thing for him.
Unfortunately there really doesn't appear to be any real interest from anybody in buying or investing in Everton.Or if there is it is being kept secret wonderfully well.
Anyone know about the Neville to Spurs rumors ? A few ITK's on other sites are claiming he won't be here this time next week

Yeah but you said they were accepted by the board..I haven't seen or heard that , I might be wrong please point me in the right direction..I agree we shouldn't sell our captain but we should only sell if Moyes is given the funds to replace , I agree if he was sold and the funds were not used for a replacement then that is s h i t e by the board but lets wait and see what happens...No one knows if the Pienaar cash isn't available to Moyes , can't really buy alot with 3 million to be fair tho..
Sorry to the thread for going off track,, please get back on track..I am shutting up shop in this one..

All gone quiet in press with regards to links for us and new players, guess the "lurkers" on here have finally got LCAB and THT's message that we are skint! Took them long enough!
Not heard that he is leaving. He didn't want to leave a couple of weeks ago but I'm not sure if that's changed as I've not heard. It wouldn't be a good signal to sell your captain but I suppose it depends on what sort of bid we get... We will update if we get anything further on it....
Now that does change things for me THT. I'd read in various places that he DID want out (Beckham, wage increase etc.) Kind of glad if it's not true that he wants to go but at the same time, if we could get 3m for him then it's a no-brainer for me. I think Moyes could spring in to action with that cash. Lets see what happens eh.
Hey first time poster in this thread here. Would also just like to thank everyone involved it must be incredibly difficult to know information and how close we are to signing certain players then realising that no matter how hard we want something the board just seem to play it safe.
I sort of see where the board is coming from in a way as they are I am sure really caring about the club but somehow they need to loosen the reins.
It is sort of like when a you mother doesn't want you to go anywhere because she know your safe wither her but in actual fact you could be out there (in the transfer market) making decisions for yourself and if you make mistakes you will be better off for it.
So the board I feel has the right intentions but really probably need to give Moyes some more leniency and reward hom for what he has dones for this club.
When Moyes first took over I was an eight year old kid from Australia so I do not know life without hom as Everton's manager and I really want to keep it that way as the way he has built this club up and the time and effort he has put in is great, surely he deserves the boards backing and trust when he needs it most? Or maybe when the board does start to panic about relegation and having to pump money into the squad it could be all to late.
Anyway thats my take and again thanks to Lcab and THT for making some great discusions here.
Well put that LCAB, I think this window will be the window where Evertonians stand up to the board. Having 3 out with 1 kid in isnt great for us as a club and for me it shows cost cutting (which is strange as we dont have massive earners in football terms).
IF noone is brought in or no one of a sufficient calibre then questions have to be asked and processes have to be followed.
Evertonians have to think about themselves as Tunisian or Egyptian residents oppossed to the current regime. Any decent business brain could get Everton FC back where it should be. We don't have to be competing with Chelsea and Man City financially, but we should be competing with the majority of Premier League Teams.
The time is now, The time is now for the current chairman to step aside. Will he though? NOPE.
Yeah mate but it's even depressing us !!!
