It's me all over that. Can't handle much more of the "watch this space" spin followed by penny pinching, selling to buy and a squad that gets smaller almost every year.
We've overachieved for so long, given the net spend and squad size, but at times, some of the football we've played & the tonkings we've dished out, it's been a pleasure. In spite of the fact this current overachieving spell is really an underachievement considering where I believe we should be, I've enjoyed it, because we looked like we were defying the system. We were torch bearers for every club who couldn't spunk silly money. Then we hit the brick wall that was this season.
Suddenly, crap sides are "parking the bus" and we're struggling to put things to bed. Coupled with indifferent form of certain players, watching Everton has been like torture. Not because we've not played decent footy, it's often been good, but because there seems to be no euphoric ending.
When we were crap & skint, I could handle it. Now we're better than half decent and skint, maybe my expectations of a club that has won 9 league titles are too high? Or that of the board is too low?
Anyway, I'm chocca with the board. Surely, they must be chocca with the grief? Please, Mr Jesus, come and save Everton and bring a few quid.

Sadly 9 league titles prior to 1988 doesn't put money in the back. The bare facts are we have done very little post the 1992 football revolution bar 1 FA cup win an FA cup final appearance, a very brief flurry with the Champions League and a few seasons of being best of the rest (but without the xtra prize money that one place more would have achieved)

Can't dispute that mate, as I say, it may be that my expectations are now too high. I can accept that I may be deluded when it comes to Everton, but I can hold that off as long as we are slowly moving in an upward & onward motion

I think Everton effectively created the problem themselves. When Wally was in charge we had relegation struggle as an expectation. The drastic improvement on a low bidget has led to supporters demanding higher and higher standards and it was always going to be difficult to continue the rate of improvement.

I think we're covered on the right with Coleman and Anichebe. It would be good to see an out and out winger with pace on the left to alternate with Bily.

I think Vic will be used more centrally, considering our lack of depth up top, and the introduction of the 4-4-2.

i will deffo be there you tool make sure you bring your mates to

SWP is terrible. He's got pace, but not much skill, no delivery, not much of a strike and he's a dwarf. I fail to see how he'll improve us in any way whatsoever.

NO, NO and NO for me.

5 teams interested in SWP.. Doesn't mention us directly but does say one of the 3(not mentioned) were looking for a loan move..

Make's sense.

Not a fan of SWP, but he could do a job.

Agreed, I'm not a fan of him, but I could see us moving Coleman back and playing him like Baines. It would makes us a lot more dangerous just by the sheer pace. Or we could shift SWP to play on the left maybe, seeing as we are now missing a LM.
