I'm sick and tired of everyone disagreeing when I say that. Ashley Cole, Ashley Cole, Ashley Cole... blah blah. Does anyone have any independent thought? Maybe use your own opinion and not sky sport's, once in a while, like.
But he's a better LB imo. He's not THAT fast, like Bale or Coleman even. I do think you get more out of him by having someone play a through ball through to him, rather than having him take on his man. He can do both, but as a winger he'd have to do more of the latter, and that wouldn't yield as much success imo.

Said it for a long time and I believe he is, and he is at his best right now in a poor Everton run.
Put him in the chelsea team that was winning trophies and ashley cole in ours and then see who gets the England LB spot.

Exactly. Ashley Cole has looked terrible during Chelsea's crap run of late, hasn't he?
Some people just think what they're told. I know we're biased, but honestly I feel strongly about this. Baines, right now, is the best fullback in the league. Not just LB.

Slight exaggeration at the end, but I concur. Baines is a LB, and just about as good a LB as you can ask for. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Bale, if you remember, was a terrible LB so spudface tried him at LM and with his pace no doubt he thrived. Leighton's fine where he is.
Baines could play anywhere really, he's an extremely talented individual. But LB is where we'll get the most out of him.
Im begining to worry Man U or someone wil come in for him, clearly the best offensive defensive player in the league!

I would only accept bids over 30 million....anything less your having a laugh..I would say he's the best left back in the country right now,,and yes that includes Ash Cole who I wonder isnt all that..
