Honestly I’d save the excitement until he starts slotting. People are getting exactly the same way they did over Sandro, til they discovered he wasn’t up to task.

He seemingly needs an extra touch on everything yet, he’s had about 12 shots and a massive 1 has been on target.

There’s a player there, but him scoring would be great.
Looks more to me like you're doing the internet thing of saying somethings rubbish right at the start so you can potentially reap them sweet internet points down the line if it turns out he ain't that good.

No, I’m not really that bothered with Internet points matey, I’m saying that I’d like to see him actually kick on and start scoring. I know we aren’t used to that with our strikers.

In a new league, a new country, where he doesn't speak the language, surrounded by new players when he's 19?
Aha, the excuses are coming thick and fast now aren’t they?

Then that’s the managements and our buying strategy to blame. If he’d had a longer preseason with us and built up those relationships maybe we’d see some production.

Right now he isn’t doing the do. Silva needs to think about what to do with him if he doesn’t score soon, because we won’t win matches with him constantly giving the ball away and whiffing shots ‘just’ wide. Granted the other options are slim, but as I say. I’d love a striker that can score goals. Kean at present has scored the same amount as Tony Hibbert.

For god's sake he's started one Premier League game. I'm happy I don't work for you!

Who of our players is actually up to your lofty standards?

Good, because if you thought coming in and doing half a job was good you’d be skidding off into the distance.

Iwobi has come in and elevated us right away, Mina looks 3 times the player now he’s fit again, Delph looks like he’ll be the buy of the season. Digne is going to be the best left back to have ever played for the club. Keane doesn’t look like a disaster unfolding every time the ball comes close to him. Gomes is just Gomes.

So we are doing well, we need that striker position sorting though. Kean looks the most likely to be the break through, but he needs to start scoring. Sorry for not getting over excited about him ‘nearly’ scoring.

"You've been here 2 weeks and my profits haven't doubled. You're sacked! What do you mean you don't understand what I'm saying and I told you I hired you for your potential to develop? BOOOOOO!"

I knew this would happen, as did a lot on here who said expectation on a 19 year old is unfair, the hype is out of control and already people are disappointed he hasn't slotted or had a 'wow' moment. 19yrs old in his first handful of games for us, awful at times the hyerbole around young lads.
It's worse than that though, because there have been wow moments. Anybody who can't see that he's a genuine talent doesn't know what they're watching, because he's shown a number of times that he has real ability. Kicking off because he hasn't scored in 2 starts (in games we won!) would be absolutely pathetic whether he was 19 and coming from a new country or 29 and hadn't even had to move house.
