I think we will see some changes in starters and formation from Silva this week. He will have seen enough during the pre-season and the first 3 games to know that we simply cannot carry on as we are. Regardless of whatever deficiencies he may have, he doesn't want to fail and he will know more than anyone that there has to be a significant improvement this season.

He has got to be given until the end of the season unless the unthinkable happens and we end up in big trouble by Xmas but that is very unlikely.

In the meantime lets pack in this Silva out bollox after every poor performance and try and get behind him and who knows, we might even end up very happy by the end of the season. That is what i am trying to do, at least for now anyway. :p

But you moan about him if we win, lose or draw. Just wait and see, maybe get behind him and actually want him to do well at us.

Just comes across like you're waiting for us to lose or cock up so you can log in here and go on one straight away

But isn't that the same mentality of 'just get behind DCL and stop moaning about the lad' argument people use?

My principles can't allow me to overlook a lame duck they just cant mate

Yeah i suppose it is but i actually want DCL to do well, I don't like Schneiderlin but i want him to play really well but with Silva it seems your just wanting him gone already and wanting him to fail and want who in? Pellegrini? Benitez? Howe?

I would certainly hope so but he does seem rather stubborn when it comes to tactical stuff and the team at times, his general game management is something that worries me at times. Totally agree on the sacking thing, it's crazy at the moment, at least give him 10 games or something, some of the stuff on here recently is just nonsense.

Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.
Brands has given him a strike force, but he only gives them 28 mins to make an impact in a confused system.
Fingers crossed

He still relegated Hull when he had a chance to get them safe - he done well when the pressure was off but as soon as escape looked a possibility they capitulated in easy fixtures (sound familiar).

I would also say just because Hull would be happy keeping a manager isn't exactly a glowing endorsement.

Estoril and Olympkios were in farmer leagues so im not going to even take into account their performances.

For me you either target someone who has won trophies in proper leagues or someone who has done well in Europe with their team ie. Getting to European semi's/finals.
If those are farmer leagues, what's the Dutch league? And he got to that with ridiculous talent in one fluke year. How'd it go this year?

And Silva's sides did fairly well in Europe.

Complete double standard.

But doesn't matter, he's not going anywhere.

I expect him to change the squad and go 4-3-3.
Maybe Delph, Iwobi and Kean to start against wolves. He has to have the cop on to see it’s not working at the moment.

Don’t think they will to be honest, lads will here alright, but that’s to be expected and it will ebb and flow depending on good and bad results and patches, of which there will be both, here isn’t the real world though.

I see a broader developmental plan at the club and think they will rely on Silva to be integral to it.

Getting knocked out of cups early.

What a great development plan.
