Your post doesn't show us as weaker.

We were starting Walcott for a lot of last year. We were starting DCL up front for a lot of last year. Now we aren't. It just shows we don't have much depth.

This year:

Delph = potential starter
Coleman = we now have cover/someone to challenge him

Delph is always injured !!

Happy enough with Delph, even though he'll get several injuries
And yes, a loan for a decent RB to give Coleman some competition is fine. (Was this required though ahead of a quality CB?)

We will concede more goals this year than last, that for me is weaker. Walcott will start plenty of games next season, god knows why. He is abysmal and that's from someone who gave him a good while to sort himself out.

So no plan B then...

Plan B for Zaha was the Arsenal geezer and this forum nearly went into melt down. If Arsenal had accepted the price then plan b would have been in effect. They didn't and we seemingly haven't increased upon the decent offer. Common sense prevails in certain instances.

And yet we are still weaker.

An injury to Mina (who is only proven in being injury prone) = Holgate.

An injury to Bernard, Richarlison = Walcott

An Injury to Kean = either DCL upfront or Walcott right with Richarlison middle.

Tom Davies still in the squad (although I firmyl believe this is for homegrown reasons).

We also have no pace in defence.

Not weaker then are we ??

Injury to NEW players, we use players we had last season. THATS NOT WEAKER!!

Can't beleive we are weaker in goalkeeper position....injury to Pickford, Lossle, Stek....we may struggle!!

haha
