I wouldn't say it has been atrocious. We all knew going in to pre-season that we need attackers but all other areas of the pitch have coped and played relatively well. It is blatantly obvious our attack is woeful but as long as the rest of the players concerned perform well and get up to fitness then it is OK.

As of writing Mainz has just scored so pre-season is also good for sorting out the chaff.

Agree with this regarding need for attackers. The worry bead I have watching all the games so far is the lack of drive and dynamism moving the ball forwards.

I know richarlison missing but it looks laboured with no discernable offensive plan in the same way it did during the bad spell in the middle part of last season.

I think it is not just a CF missing, but that spark either on both flanks or in the centre and I don't think we have the personnel on the books to address that currently. Need at least one if not two of the zaha, kean, etc names to be finalised quickly.

A good preseason masks the problems.

We are seeing a young lad comfortable on the ball.

I did say he hasnt been fully tested defensively, but everybody loves a classy ball playing CB, well not The Park End, you would DEFO sit in the Park End.
