Brands sold Klaassen, he wasnt on mega wedge at all.

But yeah, theres no issue in selling players people want.

Did he? He may have just arrived. Im open minded on it so if he did fair play, i remember thinking it was a good necessary out.

He was a decent wage, certainly cumulatively, enough to crystallize a loss for the sake of saving the wage.

Neither cleverley or naismith were on enormous wages. Naismith for his faults was a workhorse who scored goals and Cleverley was simply an average player.

Sadly the ones were trying to shift are on top player salaries.

Whose paying £10mil for Walcott or Bolasie?

Walcott just came off a truly dire season and Bolasie was loaned to the championship and anderlecht...no ones paying those fees + salaries of £100k+ a week
And neither are the bulk of our on loan players. I averaged it at below 45k pw (lower than Cleverley was on, about the same Naismith was on).

As siad, there's always an excuse trundled out for Brands.

Davy Klassen, left just before Brands arrived, he was on mega wedge. It can be done.
Yep, even if the hit is taken on fees.

We live hand to mouth now. It is ESSENTIAL cash is brought in from player transactions. Simply cutting wages by loaning them out wont cut it.

Still bashing Brands with 3 weeks left of the window. It makes all points irrelevant because we have no clue what is happening behind the scenes. It's just as silly slating the guy as it is to think he can do no wrong. however, he's shown enough to be afforded some patience surely.

Without question, the significance of outs is its an enabling factor to the quality we can bring in, its the difference between signing Delph of Doucoure for example. Welbeck or Kean.

McCarthy
Schneiderlin
Bolasie
Besic
Walcott
Tosun
Niasse
Mirallas

Will all be on over £50k a week...the below wont.

Martina
Robinson
Pennington
Williams
Baningime
Connolly
Lookman
Onyekuru
Tarashaj

Im confident we'll be able to move most of the bottom group on for fees...the top group though seems to be mission impossible

I hate to say it because I cant stand the man, but Moyes was a better DoF than Brands ever will be. What are the scores on the doors in terms of net profit on players in / players out with him? Enormous. The feller could spot a bargain and shift barely decent out for massive fees. In truth, he was a much better negotiator than coach.

People keep posting Dave, but you continue to ignore...FFP regulations.

We have to get much more in for players than that though. £9m and £8M for Cleverely/Naismith a few seasons back would be like getting £15M for bang average players now, such has been the inflation in fees.

Cleverley was loaned out first before he was bought. If he’d gone to Watford and stunk the joint out like our loaned players have, he would’ve been sent back.

...and what's the average?

Hahaha so youre complaining that brands hasnt sold players worth £1mil a pop yet ?

Robinson could be off to wigan soon for £2mil...

Smile :)

Brands will shift that group easily, its the high wages ones who will be a nightmare
