1995-2020 = the longest barren spell without silverware in Everton's history

Facts are football since the premier league has moved on. Fa cups and league cups owe a large amount luck which may come and go. There is a reason that wigan, boro and Bham have a won trophies and it’s not cos they were better than us.
We are nowhere near the winning a league title and will never be unless we get an even richer billionaire owner. Prob need to be looking over our shoulder at villa who are a sizeable club with 3rd richest owners in the league now.
Having a billionaire owner is only the entry point. You need a billion pound squad these days to challenge. And to do that on a budget you need to have a hell of scouting and back room team to assemble and build upon potential.
We can live in hope, but I’m struggling to see it in reality.

What was you doing there? Badly timed holiday?

All I have is my arl fellas tales of Rotterdam and it sounded absolute wonderful. Maybe one day lads maybe.

Moved here in September. Soon as I found out the final was here I just knew what was going to happen.

I'd move heaven and earth to make sure I was there if we got to something like this. Knowing our luck it would be Baku again.

:pint2: Some of us grew up from Walter Smith and onwards, I'm still trying to keep optimistic about winning something it's all you can do in this day and age.

Probably been said but I hate our attitude to the league cup. First team played in every round next season. Go all out for it, even rest players in the league beforehand.

A competition that Pep and Jose take seriously, but Everton don't.

Spot on. Even many of our fans don't take it seriously.

I've heard comments many times like 'who cares, it's only a mickey mouse cup' when we've got our usual early exit.

It's a chance to break our trophy duck, a place in Europe and a day out at Wembley for the fans. That's hardly 'mickey mouse'.
