Why were you expecting that though? Because we breezed to 8th last season? We were nowhere near challenging Burnley and were only about 4 points ahead of 12th. There was no valid reason to expect us to cruise to 7th, none at all.
Why was I expecting that? Because we brought in improvements and already had a better squad than the teams around us.

Based on the fact we had no centre forward, no left back, one centre back whose legs work, no wingers of any value and no creative midfielders.
Yet we finished above them, with Europa to contend with and having 3 managers in a season. Funny, that. If anyone listened to you, you’d think the other teams must have the best players in these positions.

The areas we were weak in, we brought players in to improve us, yet Silva STILL has us preforming at last season’s level. Something is not right, is it?

What, Burnley finished above us last season so officially we had a worse squad than them according to that logic.

Again, see above listed improvements we’ve made from last season. Incremental.

Not really. We're a lot better than last season, but believe it or not this isn't the same exact teams we're facing that we did last season.

Sad that you can’t recognise what a good job Javi Garcia has performed.
So how has he “performed “ then? How come Silva isn’t given credit for “performing” after turning around an ageing side inherited from Koeman and Allardyce, binning the trash (Mirallas, Williams, Martina, Funes Morl, Nlasse, Ramirez, Klassen.....in a matter of weeks, and getting the side performing reasonably well this season?

All four of his signings have been decent. Shouldn’t he get credit for that? Shouldn’t he get credit for moulding a brand new side together in a matter of months? Like perhaps Garcia has?

So because we finished 8th last season and Leicester finished 9th, it doesn’t mean we had a better squad than them last season.
Right... The magnificent Leicester, who finished 12th the season before that. So that’s two seasons on the bounce we’ve finished above them, and we’ll probably finish above them again this season, given their fixtures, but they’ve got the better squad. Ok, mate.

In no way, shape or form, are we a lot better than last season.
We've created more, scored more, taken more shots (even hit the woodwork more), conceded less, pass and keep the ball more and better, have improved the squad slightly, while still lacking in key positions. And that's just the prem, based on stats. Also comparing it to a full season, whereas we have a few games left to play as of now.

So I'd say you're wrong, mein frandel.
