He’s been our most creative player for Christ sake. Look at the number of goal scoring opportunities he’s created for team mates, as well as the 13 goals he’s scored himself. Walcott alone has had a hatful of chances put on a plate by Gylfi and messed them up.
He’s created chances for team mates yes, but nowhere near as many as he should have. I’d create chances myself if you put me in the hole as a string puller all season (the main creative position) but sure there is always someone who can do a better job, and if we want to go beyond mid table we need a better string puller and striker so don’t see what your argument is.

If anybody is still harping on about how much he cost, we’ve had 2 seasons out of him and he’s produced 19 goals so far and the second season has not finished yet.

On top of that his assist tally is excellent.

At 22.5m a season he’s a bargain and we’d have been hard pressed to get that kind of return from any other similar type of player who would have come to Everton.

Hope we get another season out of him and he’s part of Silva’s plans for next campaign.

He was cack for the majority of last season.

Is it ?

As was the whole team, club, management and ethos of Everton Football Club.

But let’s all channel our energy on Gylfi negativity, we always need a scapegoat.

He started this season really well, he then went off the boil for a period, and then picked up again, he's worked hard, and covers a load of ground.

But your point is that it works out at £22.5m a season, when in all reality his performances last season weren't even worth close to a £22.5m player.

It’s the going rate, 22.5m gets you a championship player with not even half the experience or ability.

The whole team was gash last season, he’s not the type of player to grab a game by the scruff of the neck and pull his team through granted.

At this moment in time, I would have to say at the current market rate he is good value for money. If he stays another season and performs to the same level as this, then even better value for the fee paid.
