Gomes cross field passes were as sexy as he is, Bernard’s flick summed up the overall skill he showed throughout the game and DCL continued his rapid improvement with Arsenal not being able to handle either his pace or movement.

But have to give MoM to Jags as can’t be easy to come on last minute yet his reactions were superb for the goal and he was solid for the rest of the game - a true professional.

He just said the fans were great today and made a lot of noise which was appreciated by the team. He bigged up Jags too, he said his voice and leadership was bonus today, also mentioned his attitude and professionalism. Mentioned the teams confidence and that although it was 1-0 the team were comfortable seeing it out.

Despite being only one nil, I think that was the best 90 minute performance all season. We controlled 90% of the game against a very good team.
