I think between 8th and 12th is our level in this transitional season. Getting rid of the Koeman players and reducing the average age of the first team meant anything higher than that was absurd.

Next season with the right summer purchases we can realistically aim for top 7/8 - or even top 6 if one of the financially doped clubs have a terrible season.

Got to be a wind up this davek surely? You are saying that between 8th and 12th this season is acceptable and any higher would be absurd when last season we hit 8th under the woeful Koeman, Unsworth and Allardyce and their players and then 2 seasons after they got 8th a realistic aim is for us to hit 7th or 8th but with better players and you think that is realistic and progress? It is the very definition of stagnating and regressing

I can guarantee you 100% that i do not share such a mediocre outlook and i expect far more than what you are proposing no matter who the Manager or players are.

Just off the top of my head: Wolves first game away and last week at Newcastle he cost us 6 points; add the deby howler and that becomes 7 points...add 7 points onto our current total and where does that get us?

Wenger won’t be looking for a long term job and he is a brilliant manager who could settle the ship.
Wenger wants the UEFA technical role so you can forget about him. Also given the time he was with Arsenal and had better players, it was a right mess when he left and hardly what you would call settled, the players were basically 'bored' of him at the end.

I expect more. However, I buy into the fact we are in clearing debris mode at the moment and that we have to provide a base to shift off from.

Asking for patience and support for the manager isn't too much to ask. We're taking some short term pain for long term gain.

By using that logic you gave to trawl every game to see where a save secured points though.
