I’m sorry but a 0-0 against Liverpool where we didn’t really have any clear cut chances doesn’t excuse the utter dross we’ve seen against Watford, Millwall, Southampton etc.

That is the problem we currently have. With Rico off form and no striker of note and Walcott not pulling up any trees and Lookman hot and cold.....we all see where our problem is. Give Silva (and Brands) the summer to bring in the players to rectify and we might see more clear cut chances hence more goals so our customary set piece mistake at the back will not be as hurtful as has been this season. Get Gomes in and give him and Bernard a pre-season and we could be a different prospect. Don't think any manager could do much with mis-firing forwards led by DCL or Tosun.

With regards to slumps all our previous managers have had them just as bad and in most cases worse than Silva including Joe Royle. It happens all the time but doesn't really mean they are clueless if the players cease to maintain form. I am all for Silva to be allowed to tweak this summer then if our form is still poor then the board will be justified to sack him....but not yet.

Its not impatience. Just calling as I see it...and hoping things will change.

The homes fixtures are set up nicely for some crackers.
We win away to Newcastle and hope the z cars start the fireworks against chelsea.
The way I look at it, the supporters showed the way, its all about the players from here on in.
You make it sound a win at Newcastle is a given.
ANY team would do well to take anything from St James park , Rafael has definately turned a corner with them. Tough game.

It is a given imo, They were dreadful against West Ham and we have enough quality in the squad even without a proper striker to put these to bed. If we didn't start Tosun we would have slaughtered these earlier.

I hope you are right but not a given for me.
Dont forget this is Everton we're talking about

The Millwall result and the awful performance at home to Wolves (among other performances) still makes me seriously question him.

He’s got no strikers we know, so let’s see how he does when we get some.

Doesn’t give him a free pass until the end of the season though and we need to improve dramatically and get at least 7th to 8th spot IMO to show we haven’t gone too far backwards.

Understandable. It’s nice to not have been crap for 2 games in a row. It doesn’t happen often so no real harm enjoying it.
Just as much as we dont get too down (as long as its not a mullering ) when the next defeat happens. With the run in we have there is bound to be a few losses.
But for now at least we have been given a bit of pride back....lets hope it lasts.
