Everton Youth Teams Thread

Hmm it's an interesting question. You'd have to say - in my opinion -, from current U23 squad, the best/oldest players are:

Feeney, Virginia, Gibson, Markelo, Adeniran, Hornb, Bowler

However I'd like all of them to go out on loan next season.

Are Sambou and Foulds any good ? Think they've been mentioned a few times by Unsworth as 'almost ready' for the first team.

Sambou is crap IMO.

Foulds is okay, will make a career in the lower levels, maybe make it to Championship. He's not talented enough as a full-back and not imposing enough as a CB.

Crikey so we need to ship out all the first team plus the under 23’s
The future does look rosey

Anyone who follows u23s closely tell us who they predict, if anyone, is most likely to make a first team appearance?

...forward players in particular will have to be very special to break through, their skill set and athleticism is so unique.

Of the defenders, I like Lewis Gibson and Ryan Astley both of whom have ability and attitude and progressing to U23 at younger age. Making the step up is massive, though.

EVERTON U18S AT WIDNES FC IN LIVERPOOL SENIOR CUP Q/F ,looking to win this comp for a 47th time,

Everton XI: Barrett (GK), Zuk, Warnock, Collins, McKeown, Hughes, Quirk, Thompson, Stanley, Garcia, Warren
Subs: Tyrer, Anderson, Hosie, Warrington, Onyango

Looks like a team of players who probably aren't going to make it.
