He hasn't been a disgrace.

This, he should have been rested more over this period but Lookman's 'injury' hasn't made that possible, same goes for Pickford, we only have Stekelenburg realistically as back up who's a poor excuse of a keeper otherwise JP would have been benched

Bernard should start every day of the week over Walcott.

Lookman should be starting ( when fit)

No problem, who do you play out of position, Bernard or Lookman? Who starts up front?

So when Gomes was absolute crap today, when Keane made that mistake, when Pickford missed the same, when Zouma was too slow coming over...

...is subbing out Walcott going to solve that problem?

For one, he just wouldn't come.

Secondly, Mourinho is not 'one of the best managers' in the modern game. The guy's a busted flush. His methods are completely outdated and he needs to spend £200m every window on 28-30 year olds. So no, it would be a dreadful appointment.

I'm not saying Silva is a more proven or better manager. But is he a way forward? Yes.

Does he need to improve. Yes.

Has he been here five months, which is no time at all. Yes.

Not sure how you can say that, he is only a way forward if he can improve and get results. We are getting neither at the moment and there is no guarantee we will.

It’s simple; he doesn’t have enough good footballers to get results. If they bring in quality in the next two windows and results are still the same then get rid.

Players can't be sacked.

A manager's entire responsibility is to get team selection and TRAINING right. Training is getting the mindset correct.

Mate... come on. The players and manager need to be blamed. I am blaming both. Keane's fault today. Pickford's mistake five weeks ago has no barring on Keane missing his kick today.

IMO a change should be made now he’s obviously not up to the job, no point in us stagnating any longer, get an experienced man in and give then half the season to sort this mess out and start again next season. That’s what should Have need done when Sam came in, not just getting Sam to fill in until silva could come here. Our latest appointments have been dire, experienced man needed.

Lincoln is a huge game

Lose at home to them at it's not only season over but a huge embarrassment to the club

He simply must get it right

....and that won’t be easy. The players are flat, the crowd are flat and we’re playing an outfit who will relish the game and will be backed by a huge following.

The manager is under pressure, and a banana skin wouldn’t be a total surprise.

I love these takes...he was crap at Watford - WATFORD!!!! - so he must stink.

The dude won the league in Portugal, Greece, took a tiny club into the top flight after winning the 2nd division in Portugal. He couldn't have been MORE successful in his stints previous to the PL gigs.

Comparing Portugal and Greece to the Premier League?!?

Not sure how you can say that, he is only a way forward if he can improve and get results. We are getting neither at the moment and there is no guarantee we will.

But he's been here five months, and him and Brands have had one window.

Why do we want to just start again? We need to stop hiring and firing managers. If we believe in a manager, stick with him and give him more than 5 months.

Yep and he’s still his reputation is still living on that near success, we need better than that. But as daft as it sounds we have the player here that nearly saved Hull in Niasse, I’d give him 5 games to prove himself,Tosun and DCL have had plenty of games to prove themselves and they have prove one thing they aren’t up to the job.

His reputation is from winning 3 difference leagues with 3 different sides before he got to the PL.

And if we are relying on Niasse to "save" our season, we are in much bigger trouble than I thought.

And Everton's board failed to bring one (Giroud or whoever else) in.

Have to be fair - the lack of striker is a fair shout for Silva, as it was for Koeman: https://www.grandoldteam.com/2017/09/11/early-days/

Silva was lined up for a very long time - it's been a failing of Everton's board for an eternity. Never mind replacing Lukaku, we've needed a striker to compete/support Lukaku.
....he inherited Everton's most prolific PL striker, how was he short of a striker?

He sold him and didn't do the business with £200M to replace him.

All he needed to say was "do you expect me to get a goal out of DCL and Tosun? GTF!".

DCL who he rates highly? Who he could’ve sold in the summer or even loaned out. We all knew we needed two strikers in the summer but he bought zero.
