....up the Toffees.

Leicester beat Manchester City and then get beaten by Cardiff. Leicester are unpredictable, Everton are unpredictable so the outcome is unpredictable.
I was going to say that, but you've said it for me. I was enjoying this season and thinking we were on the verge of getting everything right and seriously competing up near the top. Since the derby, though, I'm feeling about as much enthusiasm as last season - hardly any.

Seamus will always be remembered fondly and, in truth, who at the club right now could play any better in his position?

It is, however, a sad fact that he is not the player he once was and if we are to improve as a team we need to replace him, and soon.

As a mark of appreciation for his service, I believe he should be given the choice of either a free transfer or stay on as cover - much like Baines is doing now.

Whichever way this plays out, Seamus should always be thought highly of at Goodison.
Definitely, love the lad but we need to start looking.

Leicester are incredibly inconsistent under Puel. The two results against Chelsea and City were very impressive, even if I’d argue they were more due to the oppositions ineptness than particularly great individual or team performances from the foxes. The Cardiff result highlighted that Leicester can be blunted very easily and Puel is neither a strong tactician or an excellent motivater (get on him to be 1st sacked next season).

That said, Leicester are a very good side, arguably a better side than us on paper and, the Cardiff result aside, they will be pushing the top 6 as hard as anyone this season. Think there’s a case that Vardy, Ricardo, Maguire, Gray, Ndidi and Schmichael would be upgrades on what we have currently. I’m also a fan of Maddison and think he has bags of talent. Definitely a top 6 player in the making.

My prediction: 2-2.

Two very similar teams at relatively similar stages in their development, with a couple of players each capable of match-winning performances. I think it will be a decent game with a couple of decent goals from us and them. Won’t be a bad point in the grand scheme of things.

The rest of the country will get to see how bad we can be in a few hours.
Or how good we can be.

We are playing nowhere near the quality of football we played when we beat these away.
Which to be fair was our best performance of the season. A level never to be seen since.
