Makes me laugh posts like this. I am gutted with what that injury has done to Coleman. There is no doubt its taken away alot of his game. But its always the case that fans only remember your last performance. Not only was he a cracking player pre-injury he was one of the few players weve had in 20 years with a winning mentality. For 4 or 5 years you could argue our best player with Baines. Its a joke people dont see past the last game. I am not being funny butnif you cant remember how good he was you don't understand much about what happens on a football pitch, at any level

Exactly. Who will ever forget Seamus running through the whole of the Arsenal midfield doing keepy ups. Brilliant. Time for a video if anyone has one!!

Over emotional with a little insult to finish off! Nobody is knocking his attitude or the fact he was good. I just don't think he was top tier good.

Seamus will always be remembered fondly and, in truth, who at the club right now could play any better in his position?

It is, however, a sad fact that he is not the player he once was and if we are to improve as a team we need to replace him, and soon.

As a mark of appreciation for his service, I believe he should be given the choice of either a free transfer or stay on as cover - much like Baines is doing now.

Whichever way this plays out, Seamus should always be thought highly of at Goodison.

Happy New Year to us all, lets hope 2019 is much kinder to us than 2018 was.

UP THE TOFFEES

Goats 11 to start :

Pickford
Coleman - Keane - Zooms- Digne
Gana
Gomes - Iceland
Bernard - DCL - Rico
Like that line up.

Helluva pre-match ditty, too. Not.

Coleman is probably my favourite ever player. He’s a true Everton legend. I do agree in some way with the other poster though that he was always limited, and his attitude and tenacity made up for the aspects he was limited in. It’s a real shame his injuries have set him back because he doesn’t look like he’s confident in his own footballing ability anymore.
