This club is a joke

I've said it before the two main issues at this club are:

1. The ownership

2. The fanbase

The owners are able to get away with murder after brainwashing the fanbase that we are garbage and deserve to be slugging it out with clubs like Watford, West Ham and Wolves who not long ago were in the fizzy pop league.

Our fans forget us sacking managers in the back of cabs, or throwing pillows onto the pitch, or the 9 league titles or bouncing Goodison packed to the rafters. Nowadays the fans would accept a novice like Unsworth as manager and Goodison is like a morgue these days.

Until the cancer at the top of the club "what a manager" "expected losses" are removed maybe then the fans will expect more than 11th half way through the season after another kings ransom spent on talented players.

This is the same spurs side that got spanked 4-2 by arsenal and just edged past crystal palace 1 nil at selhurst. Don't get me wrong they are a good team but we were diabolical today. The ease in which they got in behind our defence was horrendous and it was just terrible tactics from the manager, the type of which that has lost him the confidence of many fans including myself.

This in a nut shell mate. And I agree, Spurs are a good team, but they won't have an easier game all season like they did yesterday, we were horrendous.

Have heard a few lads say that for the first 20 mins we looked okay, in that 20 mins before we scored Spurs could have easily been 2 or 3 up.

In my adult lifetime we’ve had 3 maybe 4 ‘ok’ seasons.

04/05 4th place (tempered of course by the RS winning the CL

07/08 europa league run and 5th place

08/09 cup final (tempered of course by Liverpool nearly winning the league)

13/14 fifth place (tempered of course by Liverpool nearly winning the league)

Every other season has been mostly dreadful and the 4 above are really nothing to write home about. Considering we’re the only team outside of the top 6 to be in the league every year with all that tv money it’s absolutely woeful mismanagement of the highest level throughout the club.

Add this to the dreadful batch. No matter how we feel Spurs are a 6-2 thrashing at home answers all questions. This team has many many questions that may not be solved even this year. As long as a true number nine isn't added we are fooling ourselves.

Quickly becoming the Newcastle United of the North West.

Simple fact of the matter is that we're not going to be able to compete with the likes of Citeh and them lot as we don't have the money to.

Europa League qualification is going to be hard this season.

If any other team in the league had Mina Zouma Digne Gomes Richarlison and Bernard in their starting 11 there’d be no way they would be bottom half. It’s pure Everton.

...because HE handed Stekelenburg the new contract and that has led to this clown Pickford thinking he doesn't have to concentrate. Nothing Silva has done so far even comes close to that mistake nor the failure of Brands to get a striker in during the summer.

In short: any Silva failings thus far cant be taken in isolation.
So at Hull it was down to him having poor players, at Watford it was down to players that gave up and failed him and now at Everton it is still down to the players. Maybe he should find a better clubs then or dare I say - a job that suits him better?

If it wasn't down to the players on field, I bet Sam Allardyce would have been a world champion.

Luckily i was a season ticket holder from 1982 to 1990 so was fortunate to see the superb glory days and brilliant football. The Everton i am seeing at the moment is lightyears away from that era. I am just hoping the new ground when it finally gets built will be a catalyst towards the good times again.

Jesus christ, proper melodramatic in here, isn't it.

Mate, we have just been beaten 6-2, we sit 11th in the table when we’re supposed to be ‘best of the rest’, newly promoted Wolves, Watford, Bournemouth and Leics (who’s manager is supposedly under mounting pressure) sitting above us. We’re level on points with West hame for gods sake. Hardly a surprise there’s an inquest going on. Things aren’t gonna get much better in the next week either IMO. 3 weeks ago there was talk of us getting into the top 6.

Wasn't talk of us getting into the top six from myself because I know we're really not that good and it shouldn't come as a shock to see us getting smashed by a team like Spurs.

We'll finish anywhere between 7th and 12th this season and whilst that's disappointing I don't know what people expect from a team that's finished 11th,11th, 7th and 8th over the last four seasons.
