He is the one player who the defence can liook to for an outball
His first touch and control is exquisite
He rarely lets the ball get away from him and can hold on to it in tight spaces
He does give it away a bit but he has a pure footballing brain
Imagine if Barkley had his brain and Lukaku had his touch

Wish he could tackle. He does everything right. Chases down the opposition quickly, but then.... Nothing.

He'd be world class if he could add this to his game.

Did an excellent job of tracking back constnatly last night and stopped their wide play, blocking crosses and inside passes. When one is running full speed to track back and the attacker intelligent cuts back its not an easy tackle.

Remeber he's an attacking midfielder, not a wing back, him like most of them wont be great tacklers.

Think once he adapts to the speed of the game he will be fine.

Some exquisite touches last night, think it's a 50/50 chance with this fella, if he can adapt to the PL we have a hell of a player, he could quite easily fall away though.

I remember people on here saying he needs new boots for crimbo as he keeps falling over.

Didn't sae it myself.

Then I saw him fall over, right in front of me, before they scored last night.

That was Digne who slipped mate just before they equalised.

In fact Bernard was in a better position to clear the ball so should have shouted Digne to leave it and let him mop it up. Defensively he's a cracking little workaholic.

I personally wouldn't have subbed him, especially when it just looks like Tosun and DCL are brought on without an actual plan of what to do. We look terrible once the shape has gone

..he’s technically brilliant but surprisingly he rarely delivers a killer pass when it’s on or fluffs his lines when he gets a chance. That is really strange given how well he controls a football.

He can’t run away from defenders and tends to cut back but he can find a yard with a shimmy to deliver a cross. I’d say he’s effective joining in with others and keeping possession but he’s rarely threatening the opposition from an attacking perspective.

I’m not sure I agree with the shouts to play him as a no10.
