When you take out the one central playmaker you have, it gets tough.

I actually have no problem attacking in the wide spaces, there was a ton of room out there. But you have to be better at it. Digne was off today, but Coleman offered so little out right it was embarrasing.
Sounds like Coleman every game.

If something isn't working you have to change it up. And by this I mean tactics not just like for like personel changes.

We literally created almost nothing from all those crosses. I'd be speaking differently if we were finding out target with them more often but missing chances.

They clearly don't spend any discernable amount of time in set pieces. Again, that's on the guy who sets training.

Really? Given the amount of goals conceded from set pieces early in the season I'd say it's clear there's been some work done. And the Walcott goal vs Southampton was the most clear-cut example of a training field setpiece you'll likely see.

Who are we aiming for with these crosses? Digne whips the ball in from all angles and I never know why. More needs to be done on the combination play between the full backs and wingers. Baines and Pienaar didn´t happen over night and it´s that kind of set up we need now.

True mate that partnership was absolutely on point.

Right now we don't have a settled left or right winger as such, and thus no proper partnerships.

Even when we end up getting players in the box to aim for, be it open play or set piece, we can't find the target.

On top of this I never feel as though our attackers are actually 'attacking' the ball

Have to disagree. We finished 8th last season and we were awful, 6th is an absolute minimum I'd expect for the money we've been spending etc.

I'd honestly we are under performing this season at this point

Spent less than Liverpool, West Ham, Fulham, Chelsea and Leicester in the summer window. You can't really expect Brands & Silva to greatly benefit from any spending done before that.

There's bits and pieces of that with Richy and Digne though, occasionally Sigurdsson joins in that wankfest as well with a quick release or 1-2.

It's been a few months in a transition season, people need to calm down.

They need those partnerships because individually they´re not good enough to unlock a defence by themselves. The whole attacking aspect of our game isn´t great right now. It´s probably only Brighton where I felt we were capable of breaking a team down easily.

Apart from Sigurdsson and Richarlison the goals look scarce. Walcott should get more but I think his confidence in front of goal is absolutely shot.

Patience young man. As someone said Rome wasn't built in a day. Silva has had only one transfer window. Maybe you need to lower your sights and realise we are trying to build a team.......we haven't built one yet but the signs are promising. If you really expect us to be among the Uniteds and Arsenals then you need to take a good look at yourself.

I do expect beating Huddersfield, West Ham and Newcastle at home though. Ok there will be 2/3 crap draws like this but 7th is here to take. Throw away a point against the RS and that has influenced the team a bit today too. Too much rotation. Just play the same 11 and stick with Ricky upfront. Dare I say Keane should be back to the lineup.

I think the confidence of the entire team is absolutely shot.

This showed today as well

Can't be done over Christmas lid, too many games. Marco did the right thing and it shouldve been enough to beat them

Unfortunately that´s probably the case in that dressing room right now. Watford isn´t really the game we needed next given the motivation their players will have over the Silva incident. Big game and probably for the best we´ve got a bit of time to prepare for it.

I think Silva initial team line up was the correct decision.

But not for the first time this season his in-game management of subs and tactics was dire.

People saying we are moving forward but are we really?

Level with Bournemouth

1 infront of Leicester

2 infront of Brighton

If Utd were at their normal level and 9 points+ above us with Arsenal we would be scrapping for 7th.

If we don't bring in a top centre forward and RW we wont do anything this season.

whilst i can go along with this, our performances have got nowhere near the points they deserved, i mean again another poor call from the ref is what was the difference between 3 points and the 1 we got. The same can be argued about wolves and bournemouth, the poor calls at arsenal and united again were the same. Arguably Chelsea as well with jorginho's tackle. We definitely deserved a point at anfield as well.

The performances are a positive, but tonight again showed why we desperately need a top striker. Walcott, Bernard and Lookman are all fantastic players, but they don't have that focal point to assist. Neither of the 3 are big goalscorers but they all get us creating a lot of chances. We just fail to make that last ball count and that's mainly due to not having someone like lukaku used to do, getting into the right areas in the box. Tosun's a good finisher who can be useful, but he's not quite at that level we need.
