Johnny wants to stay again now.

I've updated his status.

From the horses mouth apparently:

“I was very happy to come to Everton and I still like the club, and feel settled here.
“I like the manager and I respect my contract. All I want is to do my best for Everton, and if selected I will be doing everything to help them in the big game this weekend.
“Regarding any transfer situation it is absolutely off the agenda.”

Only if Heit continues to speak about his admiration for other clubs. Taylor would be great in getting back that spirit which to my mind only Cahill shows

But that like gettin rid of drogba for kevin davies cos hes had a whinge...and i know which id want.

Team spirit gets you through games, class and quality makes you win things. Heitinga is one of our best players imo rather than someone youd want rid of cos he does show cahill style spirit

I half agree with the above post, its self defeating to sell your best players.

But, if we got a good fee for him, I would let him go if it resulted in us signing a young british centre half replacement and a young right winger.

For whatever reason, if we still aren't playing him in January, and we get offered an arm and a leg for him, then why wouldn't we sell him? Then we might be in with some chance of getting Donovan or a world class forward. That said, he is still in our best eleven IMO (when he isn't whinging and is playing to his best), so I've found it a bit puzzling as to why Moyes has disregarded him so quickly.

Get shut, thinks he's above the club. Aint seen anything special from him. He's jst a big name in the world of european football. Always thought he lacked commitment or energy. Anyone who thinks this guy is commited to the club needs a slap. He's not a typical everton player far from it. Let him go, btw there is noway we will get anything over 8m for him. We'd be lucky to get that

WE've already got Bruce Wayne, so I don't think its a good argument.

Bruce Wayne's not with us all the way though, or he would have invested in us by now. He's a billionaire, after all.

Pretty much.

If players want to play for clubs playin at the elite level that we cant offer then, thats football

Ill be suprised if bilya, heitinga, felliani, yobo, maybe yak and pienaar are at the club next season

I fully expect Yobo, the Yak, Bily and Pienaar to be gone. Still think Heitinga will stick around if he gets some playing time though. And Fellaini? By the sounds of it he loves it here, and the lads love him, and we love him... why would he leave, mate? Can't see Moyes giving in to a big offer either, because all things considered (age, talent etc) I think he's the best player we've got at the club.

Fellaini? Because he's got potential to be a world class talent IMO.

The market is shrinking so top clubs like Bayern, Barca, Real, Inter, United, Chelsea will do 1 of 2 things - not spend and be happy with they have. Or look around at big talented players of a certain age playing for clubs not at the elite level and buy....just look at Ozil and Di Maria for example.

And it wont be that big of a price. The big clubs come sniffing, players will move. And Felli, being foreign, wont be too fussed about slapping a transfer request in to get a move to teams as mentioned above.

Players like him, IMO, dont stick around mid-table clubs. Which sadly is what we've become IMO. Spurs and Citeh have ploughed too far ahead IMO and we'll be taking a step back when at least 4 players will go by next season

But those players aren't going to evaporate into thin air. We'll get money for them. Well, not Pienaar, but for the rest we will. We're not and won't be a mid table team. But I think 6th is going to be the pinnacle of achievement for us.

I do think Felli will be gone in a few years, if we don't have a drastic turn of fortunes, but next season? Nah, I don't think so.

Yeah, we'll get money, but I dont see too much. Yobo - £5-7mill. Bilya - £7-8mill. Yak - £5mill (depending on this season). Heitinga - £8-10million. Pienaar - £0.

But it'll be back to square 1 again of selling to get replacements and rebuilding again.

As for a mid-table team. We are to be honest. We havent capatalised on out Champs League, 5th place finishes, and FA Cup final successes while Spurs and Citeh have spent big looking at the bigger picture.

Even Villa, Sunderland, and the RS (who'll get back on their feet eventually) will be mixing it up IMO. There's no sign of reaching a goal with Everton unless trying to get 6th spot is all we're good for. And to be honest - that's never got us anywhere as the Europa League is just a waste of time.

Fellaini hasn't come out and declared his love for us for ages, he's getting too big for his boots, we should toast him too.
